Milito ate like 2 almost clear goals, but made it up with 2 assistances and a goal...

I guess in the return leg he should score one too, and that's it :D

How do you rate a performance like Milito's last night?

He missed 2 guilt edge chances that the Milito 3 months ago woulda scored but he absolutely wrecked Barca's defensive line working like a horse, made 2 assists and scored the goal that could be decisive in this tie.

Grande Milito. He must rest against Atalanta, at least put him on in the 2nd half if we still haven't scored.

I liked Gazzetta's comment on him in their pagelle: If he'd finished those two chances, they'd have had to give an 11. At it is, he was MOTM with "just" an 8.

I was saying on the weekend that his recent misses might cost us the Scudetto. Thankfully his misses in this game didn't cost us big. I love his contribution to our play. But the finishing has to improve.

Btw, that's a tough call. Probably Balotelli won't be called for any match in this season, so could Arnautovic be playing against Atalanta at some point. We have to save Eto'o and Pandev too at some extent.

Il Principe! :star:

He struggled to score, but helped the team score 2 goals, and then scored one himself! Grande Diego! :star:

Indeed, but we need to take risk at this point of the season instead of playing the same squad blindly. Our position in the Serie A, where things are out of our hands, gave that that 'opportunity' to take higher risk and that is to give our key players some sort of rest.

Against Atalanta, we should go for a 4-3-1-2 with Eto'o & Pandev starting, and then replacing Pandev with Milito or perhaps changing to a 4-2-3-1 if things do not flow smoothly. Or maybe start with 4-2-3-1 from the beginning but with Eto'o in the middle and Quaresma filling in out wide.

But the main point is: It is unwise for Milito to play the full 90 minutes against Atalanta.

Until he actually did score, he couldn't have scored to save his life. I think his goal was actually harder than his missed header against Juventus.
