Earthquake in Japan

8.9 earthquake has just hit the northern coast of Japan. I know that LW19 lives or maybe used to live there. I sincerely hope all of the Japanese FInteristi, and all Japanese in general, will be alright.

The tsunamis are going to hit a bunch more countries like Russia, Indonesia, Guam, Taiwan, Philippines and the U.S. state of Hawaii.

This is truly horrific. And at least 8 people have been killed. Sadly, that number is surely going to increase.
Warnings of tsunamis have been sent to at least 19 countries.

Well the good news is Japan is the country that's most ready for a major earthquake so the damage should be limited. Heck I won't be surprised if the tsunamis that hit the other countries are gonna be more fatal...

The sickening thing about this is some people are already spreading out false rumors about the tsunamis hitting certain areas. Jakarta (Indonesia) is one while actually the city should be shielded by the Malaysian archipelago and the huge island of Kalimantan. The Indonesian government issued a warning for certain cities but Jakarta isn't one of them.

There was a failure with the cooling system with one of the 4 plants they shut down. The plant was declared in a state of emergency, but it was only as a precaution, there is no radioactive leak or any risk from what ive heard.

Good news is Taiwan looks good and has survived...

I still live in Tokyo.... the shock is devastating.
My bookshelf broke, couple wares break, stuff all over the floor.... luckily I am fine.
The aftershock is still going on now... a small one every hour or something.

Death Toll in Japan is now at 60 with 56 people still reported missing...The first tsunami waves are being reported in Kauai and island of Hawaii.
