I saw that. Di Marzio said it was just a coincidence as Allegri was having a lunch with friends and Pinto knew nothing about it. I wouldn't be surprised if Roma are already trying to book Allegri for the summer or even earlier. We had done the same with Conte. If they aren't fast, Allegri could have more suitors in the summer (Inter, Napoli).

According to Sky, Roma can't accept Inter's conditions for the deal (Roma paying the difference). If Inter can't find another way to raise the necessary funds, the deal is off.

Fuck Roma. They're the ones who are desperate to get rid of Dzeko. All the leverage is on our side. We shouldn't budge.

At least Di Marzio is reporting it as if it was Inter who proposed the swap.

But it's indeed this and tomorrow left of the transfer market. If they cannot find another solution, I bet they will rather pay same wages but have Sanchez on coach's disposal than pay same wages and have Dzeko training separately for the rest of the season.

I mean that the idea would be that both clubs would pay wages for their own players, so need to hassle with loan fees or anything. Players would just play on loan in different clubs.

Lol with those cheap Roma guys that's not how you should talk. Don't tell them "pay extra money". But "hey Roma, let us use your training cone Dzeko, we let you use Sanchez for free". They will bite it.

Daniel Mari said Inter denies that it has proposed anything, but only listened on offers. And we've repeated that we can do deals if there are no negative financial effects.

So this deal seems definitely off, if Roma does not accept our requirements. I don't really understand why can't they accept our conditions. After all, neither party wouldn't have their wage bill changed at all, same amount of money would be still spent to salaries.

Yesterday most media reported the offer came from Roma. Today Roma leaked the offer came from Inter but Inter deny it. The clubs are trying to do damage limitation as players are set to stay at their current clubs. If you ask me, it's more likely the offer came from Roma. They had already offered Dzeko in other swap deals, for Eriksen and Icardi, which were both rejected. It also doesn't make any sense for Inter to suggest the swap when they knew they couldn't afford Dzeko wages.

Don't have one.

Maybe they are trying to get awareness for this deal to other clubs. I read they tried to propose icardi swap with psg, maybe even spark juves interest.

I dont even know wtf they expected from us if its true that they made the first move, cus everbody in italy knows we are broke as fuck and have big problems paying montly salaries to players and staff and now they expect we bridge the 3 mill salary gap.Thats just laughable...

It's common knowledge Conte rates Dzeko highly so perhaps they were hoping he would push hard for the deal to go through.

Pedulla says it is not yet dead, like Di Marzio.

Inter is probably waiting for tomorrow, to call Roma's bluff.

But it's really interesting if Roma came forward to offer Dzeko, they found Sanchez to be a proper counterpart, but then they start to moan about the salaries. Like, of course the salaries need to be even (ie. no effect on current salaries). And it's good known fact by now Inter is not going to add any new salary to the wage bill. So the gross salaries need to stay the same. Easiest would be to Roma keep paying 100% of Dzeko salary and us 100% of Sanchez salary but Dzeko is registered for Inter and Sanchez registered for Roma for the next 5 months.

Both Pedulla and Sky report the offer came from Roma. I choose to believe them over what Roma leak to the media to save face. And that's why we shouldn't budge. It's Roma who are offering Dzeko around ala Branca with Muntari so if they want to get rid of him they need to pay the difference.

Angelo Mangiante, Sky journalist for Roma, said last night one of the reasons the deal didn't go through was Romanisti angry reactions. I love they had no issue when:

1) Petrachi bent over Paratici by taking Spinazzola for 30m

2) Petrachi offered insane wages to Dzeko at the age of 33 just to prevent him joining Inter

3) Their management had agreed to sell their captain to Juventus and the only reason it didn't happen was because they couldn't find an agreement with ADL for Milik,

but at the prospect of Dzeko joining Inter hell breaks loose. Then again what do you expect from the fanbase that supported Lazio in the last game of 2017/18 Serie A season?

Yeah, it really looks like it was indeed Roma who came forward. And apparently it was Roma first proposed Dzeko for Eriksen loan swap. We rejected and then proposed Sanchez, with the economically zero-effect deal. And apparently not compensating anything was not in Roma's plans so they backed off all of this.

I think it was just a fair transfer negotiations. There simply wasn't a agreeable transfer for both sides so the deal died. I think Roma as a club will reconcile the Fonseca-Dzeko relationship because they can't dump Dzeko and Fonseca don't have enough forwards.

I love Džeko, but this is waaay too late.

So I don't want either Sanchez or Džeko here, but it's better keep Sanchez in that case. Just horrible deal, like the Nainggolan one.

Rather than get this guy I think the club should ask Milito to come out of retirement and play for us again.

This will be another Vidal: giving an overpaid, aging player a contract we'll regret less than twelve months later.

I really dont get why Inter has a boner for signing old washed players who are either on high salaries or offer nada? Just trust the youngsters and let em play and grow. I'm sure most logical Inter fans understand that and support the decision. Why we keep throwing money away like that when we claim to have no money? Why burn money like that with signing the likes of Naingolann, Kolarov, Vidal and Dzeko? For all the money these guys cost Inter they offer little to nothing. I dont even get why they extended DDA contract. He's not good as a CB and can't play WB anymore too. What exactly does he offer that we decided to keep him? Cheerleading material again?

Yeah. Feels stupid if we sell 28-year-old striker for 115m€ and only thing we manage to do is sign 30-year-old and 35-year-old strikers. One would think we go for younger players, not for older ones. We aren't in Scudetto competition anymore after selling our biggest star.
