Milos, if we can't agree on how bad Veron was in his first 6 months spell in Inter, then it's useless in continuing this argument because we can't even agree on the core cause. Let's leave it that we agree to disagree. ;)

You dont need the comparisons between Veron and Emre to know that Emre wasnt favored like the rest..

He wasnt treated the same way as players like Stan,Veron,Vieri,Miha,Favalli. When they sucked they got chance after chance but when Emre had a bad game it seemed he was in the witness protection programm..

Havent u guys noticed this behavior to some of our players ??!

You are spot on Ziyad and I agree with Handoyo as well. Emre wasn't given enough chances. Anywaz, he's already gone. Lets hope Veron does his best this season and Pizarro will be the man for us from next season onwards.

Emre has been interviewed by the Milliyet newspaper in Turkey...there were some interesting comments thought would share some of them

Emre said:
About Fenerbahce match up

"...Fener had trouble eliminating 3rd grade teams, I dont think they are as strong as they claim..however on a good day they can beat almost any team. We havent been playing very good lately, neither Fener...they are one of the biggest clubs in Turkey, it's going to be a tough and entertaininig match..."

About his life in Newcastle

"live next door to Martins...in an apartment. Rent is 3000. Tries to hide himself when he goes in public otherwise he is signing autographs all day...club paid for his accomodation for 6 months until he settled, now he is paying for all expenses...his car is a Mercedes CLS, has placed an order for a Porsche...he has an aide that takes care of his personal stuff, cooks as well...about life in general "there is a system here and you must follow it. I am a changed man because of this..."

About Respect

" things are different abroad. When you lose you can still go to a coffee shop and be in public without being harrassed or tormented..yeah people come up and say why did we lose, we should've played better but always in a respectful manner..not like Turkey where we are always cautious after losing a game, verbal and sometimes physical attacks are very very dissappointing...

Bayern Link

Not thinking about going back to Turkey at the moment. Really happy with his situation in Newcastle and hopes to achieve big goals during his time here...This summer Bayern offered 14 Mil Euros and the offer was turned down...they want to keep me and i want to stay here...

Ever see yourself playing for Fener

"never say never but for the moment I cant see it. I want to play in Europe and maybe retire in Turkey but for now the answer is no. I know some ex-Gala players who said they'd never play for Fener and ended up playing for them...so never say never..."

Police Story

One day in Newcastle, I either passed on red or dangerously overtook someone..and got pulled over. Usually this is a big crime in England and your license might be suspended. I was thinking oh **** in my car and then this cop told me that he is a big toon fan and goes to almost every game and has my jersey...just gave me a ticket and told me to becareful...I was very lucky...

About Turkish Players wanting to play in Europe

"I know Everton made an offer for someone and they've declined saying Everton is not a big team. This mentality should change. There are many players in Turkey who are European caliber...I am in touch with Arda all the time, he needs to be rested and not played every game...very bright player and has a good future...I wish I came here earlier, every team is important in this league...football is life in newcastle, and very happy I've chosen Newcastle..."

About the team

We have very good players. didnt make the best starts to the league but we will get better. when we concentrate we are very dangerous and can beat anyone. the stadium is full capacity every game, the fans are great..the lighting system is very unique the lights dont bother your eyes during a game...

About English fans

the stadiums are better, fans are seated closer to the pitch...away games are very hard for every team...when you are down 3-0 fans still support you and cheer for you...the first couple of matches I was kind of worried because the fans were cheering like weve scored when you go to take a corner..., i said to myself it is a corner kick after all but now i understand...

About Marriage

I think I am ready but I am not thinking about it right now. Still early for me...even Okan hasnt married yet so he is first before me...Ive made mistakes in the past dont want to make them again so for now no...

Playing for the national team

I remember the Swiss game...of course weve made mistakes but 6 match ban for me was unexplained. yes I ran after some players but 3 security guards stopped me...footage shows I did nothing but nobody stood up for me...that event was a big lesson for all of the national team players...I really miss playing for the national team

It has been said Emre and Oba have talked a lot about Inter since the latter's arrival at Newcastle. But I think only Oba will return, unfortunately. Emre is one of my favorite players.

Yeah, it is true... In his last interview, Martins stated that since his arrival in New Castle he is fealing great. He has great friend in the name of Emre, and they often talk about Inter. And Oba also said that they both hope that one day will come back in Milano, but first, they have to win the title with New Castle (hardly ever).

I just hope we can get tham both some day...

I think an Emre return is unlikely. The way he left makes a comeback at Inter impossible, I'm afraid. :(

please God let them stay there, I'm grateful that we got rid of both of them to a reasonable price. Just look at how they are doing in EPL. Both of them have now made it so clear that they don't have what is needed to play for big club.

Martins has scored 2 goals in 10 appearances

And Emre might be a starter for Newcastle but he still can't control his anger 5 yellow cards in 11 appearances just proves that, and from what I have seen so far then he doesn't posses the skills or the physic that is necessary in Serie A (in other words nothing have change) And he still can't find the net.

Mikkel, I've heard Newcastle fans saying that they love Emre.

Imo he fitted Italian football perfectly from what I saw. I mean almost everytime he played he seemed to outshine Veron in my eyes atleast, eventhough Veron was great during that first Mancio year. If he could somehow retain his WC02 form though, then he'd be a world class no doubt.

Emre is a fantastic player but there are two main reasons why I don't want him at Inter atm:

A.He openly criticised the club and Mancini.
B.He is physically too weak to get to our first team, he can't do the job Vieira Cambiasso and Zanetti do for us.

But maybe some day.

Emre is quality. I'm positive he'd do well at Inter if he ever came back. The English experience will be good for him and he still has those technical abilities I admire him for.
