That's why Newcastle is such a success story because they came up from being in the Championship just 2 years ago, spent very little and had a fantastic season. tbh they are real champions, they deserved that 4th spot.

But in general, yeah that's just how modern football is, whoever has the biggest checkbook. And FFP will never work.

@ vasilios am not on no high hores and i know every culb has brought the title in some way or another. but having a club that can offter 5 times more for a player without breaking a sweat and been owend by the 5 (or wat ever) richist man in the world is bad for football. i meen how r inter or anyone els compete with that. sell the club to the 4 th richist man in the world

Don't exaggerate, City don't even have the highest wage bill in England. I would wager that Barca/Madrid are above them as well. They've spent like crazy the past few years to build their squad, but they won't continue spending at that rate. Soon they'll just be another United/Chelsea/Barca/Madrid/Bayern/etc.

Football hasn't changed as much as people like to think. Not too long ago it was Inter with a rich new oil tycoon sugar daddy breaking world transfer records. If that wasn't bad for football, neither is this.

No fucking way. First of all, Milan's wages are bigger than ours, every media in Italy reported it back in September.

And our highest plaid player is Wes, with 6 mils per year, so...

The report is from last year, so it won't coincide with the GDS numbers released in September. And based on the numbers (even if it is in USD), the amounts are gross salary including taxes.

Before the last game day it was 99,9% clear that City would win the title because they're nothing to fool with at home... so I don't really understand what the excitement is all about. Obviously it was all planned -_-

Report was made on April 2011, which means Eto'o was still with us

Carlos Tevez insists he will not personally apologise to Sir Alex Ferguson after the striker was pictured with a sign saying "RIP Fergie" during Manchester City's title parade.

The striker was caught with the banner on an open-top bus on Monday, which was in response to Sir Alex's claim that United will never become City's underdogs "in his lifetime."

City offered a prompt apology to the Scot and United, claiming Tevez "made a significant error of judgement".

Tevez issued a general apology for his involvement but has since hit out at the manager.

"It seems like Ferguson is the President of England," Tevez told Ole.

"Because every time he speaks badly of a player or when he always talked rubbish about me, I never went out to say he had to apologise. When you mess up you should go out and apologise, but I do not apologise.”

RIP Fergiscum :trolldad:

Have you seen the EPL table lately? :p

Really, guy is a legend as a player, always will be but as a manager not so much. Good to see the owners have got some balls though. Wonder who will be next (please not the return of Rafa).
