He wasn't able to score from a very comfortable position, nobody was intervening him and he shot the ball so artlessly. I am not criticizing him, cause that happens to everyone. Our strikers including Lautaro have been failing to score in similar situations many times.

No one was intervening with him to take a shot, but did you notice the angle and that there were 3 players including a goalkeeper that were obstructing his view?
It's not like he missed the target. The defender got to it and it hit the bar....


That's not a sitter. A sitter is when you miss a chance when the goalkeeper is defeated or not able to react, while you're unmarked and no one else is in front of you or around you.
There's no possible way to describe that missed chance as a sitter. It's a "great chance", a "clear cut chance", a "big moment" call it whatever you like in this realm of phrases, but a sitter? Not the term to describe what happened.

I called him a meme because he became the focal point of the conversation for his bad performance.

And 3 of those 4 misses were actually sitters, 2 of which without a defender or a goalkeeper.
The 4th (his 3rd chance) where he hit the bar was the only normal chance he got, which was slightly easier than Perisic's last night because the keeper was on his way down.

If people called for Lukaku's head for that 3rd chance alone you'd be getting somewhere, but you're cropping out the real reasons he was a meme that night.
And Perisic's miss isn't anywhere near that level.

Please tell me what kind of shot you wanted there to score the "sitter", because usually with sitters all you have to do is touch it and it should go in.
