You sure about that blackmore?

Cos from what I know there is a cartoon character in Argentina named Cuchu and Cambiasso resembles him.

Then again, maybe the cartoon character's name was based on whatever you just said.

CAMBIASSO EXPLAINS HIS NICKNAME
Saturday, 03 July 2004 17:12:49
MILAN - For a few years now Esteban Cambiasso has had the nickname 'El Cuchu'. "It was a personality on Argentine television," explains the midfielder. "A nice guy famous for his jokes. When 'El Cuchu was hugely popular in my country I was a boy. I was five or six, so I can only just about remember him. Later on it was my teammates that gave me this nickname. I like it because it's true that I'm a nice and warm person every day, but it's different on the pitch. You need to be useful to the team and... unpleasant to the opponents."

Many were expecting Cambiasso to turn up with a different look, with the shaven head of the last few seasons at Real Madrid. Instead, Esteban presented himself in Milan with a new 'haircut'. "I shaved my head after winning the Clausura title with River in 2002. It was a bet and, most of all, a comfortable solution. Then my wife stepped in..."

The next question is inevitable. What will he do if he wins with Inter? "I still haven't thought about this, and quite honestly I'm not thinking about it," adds Cambiasso. "For me my look isn't a priority. The Inter fans will learn to know me, the only thing that really interests me is the match and the preparations for it. For me the rest doesn't count. A lot of things are said in football, especially during the transfer market period. But I choose not to read them and I don't listen to them."

Yet Cambiasso has been the desire of many a club in recent years. "Yes, so they've told me," he says smiling. "But it doesn't matter now. I'm at Inter and the rest doesn't interest me."

guess your right handy ;)

shit what was i reading!!

How the fuck did he end up playing as a defensive midfielder?! Something definitely went wrong with the scouting. This guy should have been a striker from the beginning.

Il Cuchu never gave up and kept fighting although he didn't have a perfect performance cuz other than the 2 goals him and other midfielders did suffer alot with Catania's constant closing down and being under pressure.

Cambiasso: "Won with character"

Fresh off the pitch, Esteban Cambiasso commented on Inter's win and his brace: "We're proud of this result, especially considering how the game was panning out. It's a great result. We weren't good enough until they scored but then we really dug in - this side has got tremendous character. So I scored again? It's more important for the team to show character like that than who scores. If the midfielders are scoring goals as well, it means we're all putting everything into it. And we simply couldn't afford to lose here. AC Milan drew? We have to concentrate on our own games, even though we know that mathematically it doesn't depend on us."

It's nice to see him admitting it and not the usual "We ran the match" shit our players give us after every disappointing display. :)

Cambiasso trying to get his most goals in a single season in an Inter jersey. Already at 5 goals, just needs 4 more to beat his 2007/08 season...

2004/05: 2 goals
2005/06: 5 goals
2006/07: 5 goals
2007/08: 8 goals
2008/09: 5 goals
2009/10: 4 goals

2010/11: 5 goals
