England is about as good as they can possibly get. They have the star players, they have the depth. If Southgate can’t get them over the hump in the summer, he needs to go.

Italy on the other hand. Yeesh the depth is tragic. I get that there’s injuries but El Shaarawy and Moise Kean should be nowhere near the national team. Also there’s not enough good wingers to play Spalletti’s preferred formation. Or just good forwards in general.

I still don't know if Greece has a chance to get there, but I do know that despite nor having much sympathy or attachment to this NT, I'll be going to the Euro to support the boys.

The qualification system is incredibly complex. Nation's league results play a role here. Greece won their NL group so they are in the playoff qualifiers if they don't make it through regular qualifiers (which they most probably won't).

this system is pretty stupid. Why would they give winners of League C a chance to qualify to the Euros, when there's better teams that played in League B... Do Estonia and Latvia also get in qualifications cause they won League 4?

Because Platini promised small countries something nice for the support. So they come up with this kind of system where more small countries can qualify. And Ceferin just continues from there.

You're right, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the powers that be made this way so the Nations League would have some more relevance.i always thought it was a bit to much, League, Euros qualifiers/tournament, WC qualifiers and the WC itself was enough along with the friendlies.

That was precisely the case. NL was formed so that there are no useless friendlies in the football calendar. Football associations around want their share of the pie aswell so they want to make money with the matches and friendlies didn't generate it.
