To be fair when you look at the way we treated Karamoh it’s tough to believe this kid would have developed to be anything like he is now.

He wouldn't get playing time. Spalletti loved Vecino and Valero at such an extent that Kondogbia feared he wouldn't play much and forced a move. There was also Gagliardini who was still rated highly and Spalletti, unsuccessfully, tried to turn him into a DM. Even Brozovic didn't play much till Spalletti changed his position. Things weren't much different the following year. We just replaced Rafinha (who had replaced Mario in January) with Nainggolan. If anything, they were worse because Brozovic had already established himself as our starting DM and playing time would be even more limited.

Are these tweet fests really necessary? I kind of get the spreading the news angle but somehow it just feels wrong to spam tweets in a forum when everyone can look the same tweets from Twitter anyway. It becomes quite bloated or something.

As far as i am concerned there's no issue with posting tweets of transfer rumours. Personally i will continue doing it. A big issue with old forum was we couldn't implement tweets. Those who spend time on sharing news on the forum know it was a pain in the butt to do it when you constantly had to copy and paste. Now that is available i am certianly going to use that feature. And this is how transfer threads look like in most footballing forums.

Yeah plus some of us don't use twitter so we can't see them. Why would it be better if someone posts stuff without naming his source? It's not like the news are original thoughts of the poster.
