I was wondering if we could have one general "welcome to the forums" sticky thread, where all new members can post there and introduce themselves. sometimes there are heaps of these threads, and it owuld be easirer for everybody to just chek out the one thread.

and if there are a lot of members from one country or region then they should open up a new thread like the australia one, or like the current influx of indonesians and chinamen.

its a great idea man.other websites have one thread where they can introduce themselves and so it wont take much space and easier to find.i hope its done real fast.

That OK... Nice idea, wich won't work. If you remember there was (is) a thread about birthdays, so we don't open new thread about all members birthdays... And nobody is using it.

Great idea, a sticky for that and a sticky for happy birthday would be great and would keep the forums tidy.

The alternative being the creation of 2 sub-forums - one for birthdays, and the other for introductions. 2 singular threads containing all birthday greetings and member introductions can be rather confusing.

Great idea Tim, I think that the creation of 2 sub-forums - one for birthdays, and the other for introductions would be great. It would be much more organized that way.

Btw, I suggest that some kind of poll should be made here... Mods?

Introduction forum should be very visible, remember, new members join and don't really know their way around the forums.

I joined forza-inter.com without any introduction so I would use it first...

I know of people that don't post because they don't know where to start, they think whatever they're going to say it's already been said by somebody else.

If we create an easy link to an introduction forum, they could break the ice, and hopefully become active.

As you can see, I've created sub-forums for Birthdays & Introductions; this should hopefully clean up the Fan Exchange forum, whilst giving new members a distinct location to make themselves known to the rest of the community.

Toward that end, I've included a link in the description of the Fan Exchange forum.

Seems like I was late for this...

I personally dislike the idea of having sub-forums unless it's absolutely necessary. I believe that it would be much better to have 2 stickied threads in that forum.

I don't agree with you on this one Han... Having subforums for theese kind of thread is great. They will all be on one place, and very organised. And easy to be found for the new members... And we have already tried with one thread for birthdays, and it was of no use... First few birthday were there, but later on every b-day was on separated thread. Don't you agree?
