1. Inter have been following him for a while. So this is not a panic move, its a planned move. I trust Sabatini.

2. We need a back up for Candreva like yesterday. Getting one for 8m is good business in todays market

3. These days, anyone who plays for France U21 side at 19 cannot be half bad. Other attackers in that team include O Dembele of Dortmund, M Dembele of Celtic, Augustin of Leipzig, Coman of Bayern, and Bamba of St-Etienne. Thats good company.

Polish Media report that Krychowiak to WBA is pretty much done so no way we're getting him, which is a pitty. As I said earlier, if he recovers at WBA he should be one of our top targets in the next transfer window. Bluenine pretty much summed up why we need him now, although I think he could always be usful, especially considering Valero's age.

Karamoah is a gamble, I would feel much more safe if we held up with loaning Gabigol until Winter - if Karamoah flops then we can use Gabi and get someone else then, if Karamoah stays, it doesn't really change much in both Gabi's situation (it will basically be the same as now) and clubs situation (abstracting from wages, which we will pay most of either way).

I would be really surprised if Mustafi happens. It would be our biggest signing in this window and seeing how much it took us to sign pretty much everyone (and how much it took Inter not to sign players we have worked on for weeks) I really doubt it's going to happen. Inter director Walter Sabatini confirms the negotiations with Caen for Yann Karamoh are over. “We won’t make any more signings.”

The player had wanted to join them at San Siro, but the two clubs again failed to agree terms this evening.

“It’s all collapsed, the transfer is not going to happen,” intermediary Oscar Damiani told Calciomercato.com.

Sabatino also spoke to reporters when leaving the summit at the transfer centre.

“We won’t make any more signings. It has been a pragmatic transfer campaign.”

I hope this is a negotiation tactic. Because if our mercato is over now, so is our season and some heads need to roll.
