I don't know if you guys have written it (probably yes), but yesterday pinamonti has been loaned out to Frosinone and emmers to Cremonese (serie b).

By the way, pinamonti earns around 500 k euros after taxes a year, so we have spared something around 1 million euro (maybe it will turn out to be useful in January)

You can tell me all about it in a Derby of your choice :)

P.S: Bring on Real fucking Madrid in the CL draw.

Hehe I see you're a man of your word :D

But seriously I dont believe in bets, I dont do that.

But if you insist, you could donate the ticket's price in my name to the nearest charity to your home

Can we still sign free agents?

We should go for Marchiso, give him a big salary so he cant say no, and let that piece of crap rot in the bench or give him the flue sneider treatment :D

Just for the lols, never let him play, but put him in every inter commercial and stuff, make him sign autographs and such :D

I find it really strange as well.In early July it was reported Spalletti had asked for 3 more players. A RB, a CM and a RW. After what happened with Malcom, it was reported that we would only get a midfielder even though Spalletti would like to have one more winger as well. And in the end we read Inter chose to get Keita over Vidal and that it would be Modric or no one. The only explanation i can think of is Spalletti was really impressed with Asamoah as a midfielder and he thought he doesn't need another midfielder. But in this case, why didn't they get another lb? I am still very confused about the ending of our mercato and i hope they made the right choice.

Most likely there reason we didn't get another CM is because we couldn't offload Ciao Mario and/or Candreva.

All jokes aside, Marchisio would be a good addition to the squad. Plenty of experience and is still a good player. He won't be a repeat of Pirlo arriving at Juve but he'll do a job for us in midfield to give us depth with three competitions, there's plenty worse we could get, and it's sure better that falling back to playing Mario.

I love how many people here were rating our mercato +8. I mean obviously you're free rate whatever you want but why do you then go and outrage a week later in the Sassuolo-Inter thread and start cursing every player and Spalletti?

This is was bound to happen. The final answer to a missing piece in midfield is not Keita. It's clearly an unfinished mercato. Without Nainggolan and a fit Brozovic, our midfield is automatically worse than Sassuolo. All of our nice signings this summer are useless as long as we have players like Vecino starting in midfield.

Hopefully we can somehow stay around top 4 and progress in the CL by January.

The missing piece is a central midfielder. Spalletti requested for it but Ausilio said we already have a CM (Ciao Mario).

That should've been one of our top priorities this summer. Vecino, Valero and Mario are certainly not the answer. I don't know what happened with Vidal, Rafinha and whoever else but I refuse to believe that Ausilio did not plan any other options in case they don't work out.

Kind of weird how massively this lack of strong midfield emerged in this first game. Many here notice it and payed attention that it is the weak spot. Rafinha did wonders last year. The price was too high but now again we are this situation where the tempo is too slow which make Inter predictable.

Now Spalletti needs to make a tactic that won't rely on central midfield creativity but uses strong wing play. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Yea last season tactic and it didn't work anymore after december came.

I'm not sure if the same people who rated this a 8/10 mercato have been cursing Spalletti and the players. But I don't think consistency of opinion and logic fares well with any majority set of people.

As for the mercato, it is indeed an 8ish out of 10 mercato. Our lack of midfield general (not gonna call Nainggolan that because he's not that type of player) and lack of proper left back is evident, but given the circumstances, it's been a great one. FFP restrictions for the 2018 window, CL list restrictions and further Settlement Agreement restrictions made things too hard. Given all that, it's been a great mercato.

We played one bad game, against an also bad perfrorming team, and we had 4 new players start (de Vrij, Asamoah, Lautaro, Politano) where 3/4 of them were amongst the only good performers we had. We still have Vrsaljko and Nainggolan to see integrated, wait for Keita to check if he can compete with Politano for a starting spot and we also have to get Perisic and Brozovic back in form.

People judging the mercato off one game are just fitting right into my first statement. They lack consistency of opinion and logic.

As for me, you're free to quote my take on the 8/10 mercato that I rated where I said that our build up will still have issues and the lack of a midfield general will be evident. That doesn't make our mercato shit, it just makes it incomplete, hence the 8.

Like I said earlier, I believe they didn't get another CM is because we couldn't offload Mario.

Maybe, but now we have 5 wingers for 2 spots.

Wingers have always been in the plan though because we plan to get rid of Candreva.

We also have 5 players Brozovic, Vecino, Valero, Mario, Gagliardini for 2 CM positions and this is before a new reinforcement.

You are right about that. Politano just didn't impress me.

I find the middle of the pitch more important than wide areas so thats why it is concerning that we are so average there.

We're not disagreeing. I do think that it was a perfect mercato until we finished it without the missing midfielder. That midfielder was worth atleast 3 points in my ratings. That's why I've rated it 7/10. We just have a different rating measurement, but our general idea is the same. No midfielder = inability to break parked defenses outside Giuseppe Meazza. It's been our trademark.
