10 years of FIFOk yeah, agree.Nobody cares about fans opinions (even though Marotta reads everything).Ownership, management and coach will just do whatever they have decided to. Point was low salary won't save Klaassen (or any player for that matter) from criticism if he doesn't perform on the pitch.
If the option is true, we can ditch the guy if he's not good enough and pay the extra taxes (900k). If he scores few goals and doesn't leak, I think we will keep him. The gross annual salary is extremely low at 1.9M if we keep him for two years. If we keep him for one year, it's gonna be 2.8M.

I thought our mercato was closed after Pavard so I was pleasantly surprised to see us linked with another midfielder and excited by the (short-lived) Youssouf Fofana links. He's exactly what we're missing in midfield IMO - long and rangy with decent passing and physicality.
Instead, we signed Klaassen who is slow, but I don't mind the player half as much as most people here it seems.
Personally I was hoping we'd use that last midfield spot on a physical player with pace and dynamism (even at the expense of skill) or an outright defensive player. That's the one thing I'm somewhat disappointed by (more confused than anything), that we used this last opportunity to bolster the midfield on yet another #8.

I thought this guy was at least the Dutch Barak, a large body with decent technique - dude is 179 cm... "wE nEeD A PHysIcAL MiDFIelDEr"
I get why people "don't mind this transfer", although I don't get why you wouldn't mind some nobody taking minutes away from players like Sensi/Asllani/Agoume, who are battling it for the 5th/6th spot. Are we seriously expecting this guy to be good? Probably not. So why not take a shit performance from Asllani just as calmly?

I cant remember anything special this fella did for us when he played. Not a single shot or pass. Did he scored any goal, I cant remember. Oh yea, I remember that miss against Barca. Almost costed us CL glory from last season. Stop crying, maybe this turns great for him, if he leaves he'll play more and he can return to us in much better shape.

It’s a low risk transfer indeed. Imo there are two things I really dislike in this transfer.This. We're adding extra midfielder when we already have like 6-7 midfielders in the squad (if Agoume is counted). I don't get this rage atmosphere at all.
1) I know it’s only 1,5 mln salary for our 6th or even 7th midfielder. But why not just stick to Asllani (he costed us 18? mln, down the drain if he stays)or Sensi? Give a fucking youth player the 400 minutes Klaassen is going to get. It will be good for his development. The worst part is: Klaassen is going to get minutes from Frattesi, mind that. The first months it is Klaassen who will come in for Mhiki. Frattesi should focus on the minutes Barella drops.
2) The message it sends. Mostly to myself as a fan. We are now getting players who aren’t even good enough for Ajax anymore. In the past we bought there best players.
So I agree, it’s a low risk - high reward (although this change is below 5% imo) type of transfer. But I do really dislike these type of transfers.

Yea, we are very fast at getting bums.
Neither will Asllani so better just loan him out now. Inzaghi isn’t going to play him before he has a couple of years of experience as a starter under the belt.
There nothing to get excited about he is the Dutch league version of Gagliardini, we might just as well have kept Gagliardini if this is the sort of level we are after.

Yeah Asllani should pack his bags asap. Agoumé also, but that was already clear as day.
I agree Asllani so far didn’t show a lot. But we did pay 15 mln for the guy, so why not giving him some real minutes now and then. If we don’t we better stop buying players like this when Limone is our coach. Because it will be money down the drain.

No they want him gone. He is one of their biggest earners sitting on the bench. They want to make room in their salary householding for his replacement. It will save Ajax more than 4 mln in salaries.
