honestly we played not that bad considering the players we had. Our goal was trying to win with this players, no matter how the perfomance would be. You can't expect to play a good game with some fuckers.

When your opponent is complete garbage who hasn't won a match in three weeks, of course you can say we played poorly.

Will just have to accept that football fans are about as emotionally stable as a 13 year old girl.
I mean 80% if this forum before the season starts was like we re gonna compete with napoli for the second spot at best but it s not gonna be easy to qualify for CL again on top of that most predicted us to drop out of cl once they saw our group.

Now it s december and we re way better of than most expected but we have not won in 3 games so everybody acts we re having a horrible season or form.
For fucks sake we ve draw against roma and fire that can happen and we lost to barca again that can happen.

I m not saying we should be happy with those results but considering who we were missing it is not a disaster. And considering expectations and our suqad quality/ depth we re still very on track to have a pretty good season.

I said before the season started if we finish 2nd im gonna call this season a success and we re very well on track for that.

Btw what can be said for our team is also valid for single players i m still baffled how players can be called WC in one game and then shit in the next but thats just me. Just look at how much the opinion on lukaku changed over the course of this season even though he s een exactly the same player for the last 4/5 seasons.

Edit: dont get me wrong a player can have a wc performance in one game and a shit one in the next but thats down to form and not the quality of the player.

By who? Anyone with two eyes knows we played like trash for the last 80 minutes of yesterday's game. We hardly produced any chances, and the chances we did produce were marvelously botched. This was a Spalletti-esque performance; clueless in attack with Handanovic routinely having to bail us out.

Judging by the comments here I'm thankful that I didn't watch yesterday's match and instead opted to sleep early once for my work:work:

I don't know what game you were watching.
Lukaku literally cannonballed the ball straight into Dragowski from two meters out, we had a narrow offside-goal ruled out which should've stood had Lukaku had a bit more awareness and/or better timing, a different referee certainly wouldn't have given a freekick against Lautaro for being held down + being piggybacked by the goalkeeper, Biraghi put in a great cross which Lautaro narrowly headed wide, Dragowski made a wonder-save on that Lukaku header...
We should've buried the game long before the 91st minute, whilst "Handanovic routinely bailing us out' consisted of a great save on Badelj in the first half and a routine save from Castrovilli in the second half, I guess?

We generally contained Fiorentina to having nothing to very, very little, and what they had was all from long range, while we - especially Borja - had acres and acres of space.

The lapse in concentration and over-eagerness to attack when being 1-0 up away from home in Florence in stoppage time is unforgivable - both from the players and Conte - and, I think time will tell, the resulting goal will be the last time we're first in the standings, seeing ours and Juve's comparative schedules in January and February, BUT;
this wasn't a shitshow in any shape or form, except from that one Fiorentina counter-attack, and we were much the better side, even in our depleted, injury-riddled state.

As Militoscores rightly says, this would've been hailed as the kind of matches champions are made of, had we held out. Instead, it's looking like a really grim result, which our play didn't merit, I don't think.

like it or not, we always struggle at Firenze and this Fiorentina, as bad they are, drawed against Juve too this year. Fiorentina is and will be always a problem for big teams. Against small teams they suck but in big games they always try to get at last a point, every year.

Completely disagree. We were out-possessed, out-shot, and out-played by a team whose results over the last month include losses to Torino, Lecce, and Torino. Am I supposed to feel better about the way we played because our striker missed three chances he should have scored? What you described above is in fact the way Fiorentina prefers to play these days; they prod around the midfield lofting up prayers, primarily because they don't have an actual CF in their entire squad. There's a reason they only have 20 goals through 16 games.

How the fuck are we supposed to keep possession when our current midfield? Conte can't make Vecino suddenly become a competent well-rounded mid. And he can't turn back time and make Valero 28 again (though he was very solid in this one even if he hadn't scored) Don't get me started on world class shitters like Biraghi and D'ambrosio either. Conte ain't pulling rabbits out of his ass but he's getting what he can out of this mediocre group. Let's get those 3 points against Genoa any way we can and get into the break with hopeful reinforcements, both from returning from injury and on the market, when we commence in January.

Not saying we were great, but did Handanovic even have any big saves to make other than the long-shot from Badelj? From what I recall Dragowski had to make two saves from Lukaku. I don't think we were good, but I really don't remember Handanovic routinely bailing us out yesterday.

Yes you know what else was spalletti esque our fucken midfield!!!!! So again why are we surprised we know our wb s cant creat shit on their own and we know brozo cant carry the mid by himself so obviously we re not gonna play great with the players we had available.

I still think we were slightly better than under spallo since we had some plan. But again if only one player can pass and run in your entire midfield your gonna struggle unless everyone around them is WC especially the wingers and in our case the wingers are mediocre at best.
