The only reason why he isn't a starter is that we play with 3 strikers that don't drag back , so we need 2 destroyers.

But the guarin that doesn't troll with long shots is a HUGE midfielder , dynamic-vision-power-acceleration-longshots-courage. He is perfect for a 3 man midfield and i'm really curious to know Strama plans since we apparently are after Paulinho which would make us have 2 perfect 3-man midfielders without playing with a 3-man midfield

Problem is what I said before we got him. IF YOU THINK HE IS A DM OR CAN DEFEND YOU ARE RETARDED !! He can fill the function but Guarin is a play maker. He can defend but his strengths are his shoots and his passing. We have been asking him to do things he can not do then bitch about it that he can't defend or he shoots to much. I admit he needs to get it more on target but when it's on target he does very well. He needs time and minutes. I think he is good enough to start for us but am very happy that we have such a strong midfield where there is competition.

I also find it funny people automatically think that Paulinho is better than Guarin after seeing him twice on youtube

we have such a strong midfield? so sad our expectations have dropped so much over the last 5 years. I'll say it right now, Guarin wont amount to much here at Inter. Good in spurts but thats it. Technically below average. Bad decision making. Marginally better than Muntari. Marginally. But if that's good enough for you...

Zanetti----Guarin-----Gargano---Cambiasso--Naga is also a powerfull midfield which should be able to intercept the ball and put on a lot of pressure.
Fredy is a good player. Had played good games, but also bad ones. I hope he picks up his form from now on and becomes more consistently. Then we will see if he's a great player

Its simple. He is useless defending. He needs to be a one dimensional attacking central midfielder. That would mean he is playing higher and therefore his shot, movement and ability to close down is more beneficial.
