Yes, but only one of them currently plays at Inter - Biancchetti, and he's also the younges in this squad (the only 93' I think).

according to fcinternews, the best players were Yago Del Piero (who scored his first Inter goal) and Giovanni Terrani. The flops were Matteo Bianchetti and Isaac Donkor

I don't know if it is Bernazzani's fault or if it's normal in youths (i have to follow other team's youths as well to judge) but our primavera failing to make a single link up play it's very disappointing when u see the singular quality of our central midfielders and trequartistas/wingers.

I know that in italy we favor vertical football towards horizontal football like spain but still focusing only on long balls to the target man Forte or to exploit the speed of garritano in free spaces is very limitative when u consider the potential offensive game that our team could create.

Exactly , that's why i believe its not an age issue but italian football mentality and the way these coaches are trained in coverciano.

If xavi and iniesta during their youth times would have been forced to do long passes forward to their target man they wouldn't have developed in the tiki-taka of today.

but to be sure, I wouldn't mind if our midfielders can do long passes like Scholes

there is ONE THING ONLY our midfielders like Del Piero, Acampora, Benassi, etc should work on until they hit the Primavera.

POSSESSION UNDER PRESSURE.

One touch passing triangles, things like that.

They need those skills, this long ball shit is a waste of good young players.

Seems to me we are more focussed on results than we are playing well.

We need to shift from this mentality.

What is more important after 5 years...the amount of trophies we win or the amount of players we can integrate into the first team?

agreed. the priority for the youth team is to deliver players for the first team. If results come as well, thats good (and of course theres correlation). But the priority is the players.

I think later today I'll do an analysis on a few of our current youth players, what they need to improve to get to the first team, etc.

I have to say, I'm very pleased with Benassi's new contract and recognition on the website. I've been raving about this guy for like 9 months now, he's going to be class for us.
