I'm pretty satisfied. Super low tempo allowing even the ones on the pitch to recover some energy, clean sheet, essentially no Genoa shots, Pinamonti and Radja getting minutes.

Wouldn't call it lucky either, we dominated the ball and lacked a final thrust up until the quality of our players won the game for us.

dont think it was a lucky win. It's an important, procedural win for us to get. I didnt watch th efull match for reasons, but we were pretty dominant whenever I watched it, just lacking in creaetivity etc.

I don't know if we've talked about this yet, but we got robbed of two penalties yesterday, not just the Lukaku one.

But man, this Genoa team looks like one of the worst teams I've ever seen offensively. The likes of Benevento looked terrible in defense against us but they gave us trouble offensively.

I'm trying to think of the last time.we played a team this bad and I'm pretty sure it's last season's game against Genoa again.

They are shockingly poor. It's also telling how poor some other teams are given that.this Genoa team consistently stay up without being relegated.

Lukaku one was an obvious penalty to me. Glad in the end our breakthrough came from open play though, we needed that.

You know, I shouted for a penalty instantly when Lukaku's happened, but then there was nothing, no VAR check (at least, not an honest, thorough one) and basically everybody moved on from it immediately, which is something of a good thing I guess - no point in dwelling on it; move on and keep pushing - and it made me honestly question if I just was wanting a homer call at that moment in time.

I feel vindicated that it clearly was actually a penalty and the VAR was sleeping behind the wheel. Trying to be objective is something I try to do so I'm not too happy when I find myself being painfully biased for my favorite team(s).

It was only that Brescia and SPAL were far worse than Genoa, and it was a close battle between them and Lecce till the very end.

This season the newly promoted sides aren't bad so far, only Crotone seem like they are candidate for coming back to Serie B. So I guess Genoa will have even a harder job to stay in Serie A than last season. Indeed they are terrible.
