Just gotta accept we fucked up with this signing and move on. There is no point in giving him a starting place and try to turn him into something he's not.

He's good enough to be a squad player. Give him play time and try to stick him to some British team for 20 mill or something.

I simply disagree with that. He's only 23 and hasn't actually been that bad for us, and selling him for only 20 mil would be a huge loss in the current market. If he's good enough to be a squad player then lets give him some time to develop. We have very little to lose (wages) and much to gain (potential/growth) for keeping him.

However, to each his own. I can see why you think he isn't worth the risk, I simply value the possibility of growth more than you

So he is the same rating as Kova when we sold him IIRC, not played it in years

Well, apart from the price tag and FIFA ratings, another thing that Kovacic and Kondogbia have in common is that we're still endlessly debating trying to figure out where they fit best in the midfield.

I wonder if that's why we bought Jaoao Mario, he fits everywhere :yao:

I remember a Monaco fan saying his best games for them was playing down the middle as a CM.

So the newest excuse for him is that we have to re-design our midfield to fit him then he might get better?

JM came here from a different country and league and is the exact same age and after less than 2 weeks of training was played better than Kondogbia ever has for us and there's plenty of indication that he's going to get better. That's what good players do.

Everyone's different.. I get that. Some players are good. And others aren't.

Five stars for this.

I don't like stubbornly hating on a player just for the heck of it. I like simple logical facts that can be seen with the nakes eyes. I've seen Joao Mario, a new foreigner who has just joined the team two weeks ago with no summer preparations no settling in Milano no buying new house no finding food for his dog no jack shit. Yet he has played better than Kondogbia with his +1 year settling bullshit.

Joao Mario is good, the other is not.

It's time to admit that Kondogbia is a flop at Inter. He'll be given chances this season (only because he's a 40m signing) but his time at Inter is limited. We've gambled and lost on this one, but Joao Mario looks like the real deal, which is our saving grace.

Dismissing Kondogbia because J Mario is better is just :yao:

Sure, J Mario is better, so is Brozovic at this point probably. But that doesn't mean he won't come good. Let's give him and the rest of the team time to adapt to the new coach. We've seen enough of him at Sevilla, Monaco, and even glimpses with us last season, that he has potential.

Kondogbia is a different type of player who we bought because we see potential in him, we still have a very young core to our team which will improve together and learn more about each other in the coming seasons which will only be helped by De Boer. I see a lot in kondogbia as a Toure esque player and think its too soon to be calling him a flop because he didnt score an insane amount of goals

Kondogbia is not the type of player with football IQ like Joao Mario.

So to expect him to adapt as quickly as Joao Mario is unreasonable. He needs to be molded into a player where we do not need to depend him in the attack, but more for helping out in defense and winning possession back.

Looks pretty accurate to me, except for his passing which should be reduced.

He's not bad, in-game, albeit the low rating - could be very useful as a DM, tackles pretty successfully.

Fuck's sake Nyall, we're winning and under immense pressure, why not join the others in the match thread instead of taking a chance to shit on one of our players?

In a game like this we need the pure DM more than a two way midfielder. Change made perfect sense.

The match is over we won.

I'd never ever miss an out an opportunity to shit on this guy, especially considering his absence is the reason we won these past two games.

Our team is basically the same minus him and JM added.
