Anyone else get the feeling that his pride won't allow him to play a 4 man backline:pokerface:

It depends to which one he prefer, his pride or his career :D

Hey Gasp, your pants are on fire, please switch to 4 backs or GTFO this team.

The Champions League game against Trabzonspor for me is a freebie. I will not praise him if we win this match, as with all respect to our fellow Turkish members who have joined that support the team we "should" be easily winning these types of matches, with respect to ourselves and the opposing team. With a dignified 2-0, in a controlled manner, while honoring the other team.

If we however somehow conspire to lose, then we have really hit rock bottom. Victory against Trabzonspor won't magically mean we are all right and all is well and good, no...... that can be deceptive.

I will further judge our "tactician" against Roma this coming weekend.

If that is true, it is not surprise that the top coaches are avoiding Inter, or are leaving the club prematurely.

Top coaches like ???

Sky: After a three-hour meeting with Branca, Gasperini doesn't seem to be open to tactical changes. He and his staff also spent several hours reviewing the game to understand mistakes.
Repubblica: Gasperini has a month to get his ideas working.

And some folks want to laugh at Roma

:palm:

Inter is in a seriously bad state right now. Management again choosing the wrong path.

He's tried it for 2 months already and if he cant make it work, how does he think it will work in a month when we have matches almost every 4th day?

Seriously this is where we lost the league last season and yet we do this again. Atleast now Branca told him but I dont think they(I'm including Ausilio) have been forceful enough..

I dont see what else Branca can do IMO, is it reason enough to fire him? Nah.

I just don't understand why we even signed him in the first place. :palm:

Sign a coach that uses a 343 formation and then make him abandon it a month later...

Branca logic.

You guys are really over reacting about the formation, it didn't work but it wasn't a disaster either, the disaster came from the high d-line and the midfield's inability to retain possession under pressure

I am willing to give gasp a few more matches to tweak it before calling for a change in formation, we saw what the team can do when the formation is working, the only issue now for the coach is to either figure out how to make it work for 85% of the game instead of 15%, and I think it's only a matter of who starts in midfield and a lower d-line

We are over-reacting? Which one of us had a meeting with Gasp for 3 hours?

It's the midfield two that's the problem really. Once again our coach doesn't play Cambiasso infront of the defense. There's always a massive gap infront of our defence just waiting to be fucked with :palm:

Doesnt help when Gasp changes from this:

Gasperini will take charge of his first training session with the players in four days’ time, in Pinzolo, but he already has clear ideas about his Inter side:

“I’m firmly convinced that this is already a very good team and I plan to have a big season. I might introduce a three-man defence here because other teams have produced good results with it – and it’s something that I have adopted successfully myself in the past – but it will be one of our alternatives and not the only solution. We must show that we can adapt during the match and come up with something a bit different, and enjoy ourselves at the same time.”

to what he is today...

IMO skeet, 15% of the match was where we played well it only happened because Palermo were tired and looking to counter. When they picked up their play, we were ripped apart.

Gasperini is still inter's coach so I wouldn't say the management's reaction is as extreme as some of the people on this forum

And and I think we can all agree that changing formations now is the safest course of action but it would be better if the 3-4-3 starts working instead, and I think branca and MM know this and are willing to give gasp some time, but hoefully not as much time the fat man had

I'm sorry, but if after a loss, management needs to "meet" with Gasp for 3 hours, then I think that is pretty EXTREME...
