Embolo looked really good. I remember when he was at Basel he was really highly rated. Seemed like this slowed down for him after the ACL injury. Good to see he’s playing well again. Looking at his Bundesliga stats he doesn’t score enough though.

He made a very poor choice by moving to Schalke. He struggled a lot with injuries, he was very inconsistent and he never managed to justify his price. Thankfully he moved to Gladbach where he revived his career. Nothing spectacular but he basically is their 12th player. I can't see him becoming the player people were expecting him to when he was at Basel but he can at least have a decent career.

Very well said, its a shame he never lived up to the hype, I was excited for this kid. Still a decent player though, just expected so much more.
