For my fellow countrymen, here's the matchraport for Greece-Sweden

Villa probably, would miss many goals that Cruz and Hernan scored from crosses, and that was a lot, because english and italian teams play a lot with wings, unlike spanish ones, where they try mostly 1 on 1's rather then cross. Just because there is usually nobody to finish them off.

He would never get these chances as he isnt that type of target man.

So again... Villa is a deady striker, is a great striker, is a perfect for a spanish league, but he isn't complete, no way. And I'm eager to see him outside spanish league so we can see how much he is really worth.

He is proving himself at International level, thats enough for me. If it works in the spanish league and at International level it will work anywhere, he will obviously never be a great header, but he has so many other qualities thats ridiculous to question him because he isnt 2m tall.

Some of the greatest forwards in the last 20 years have been attrocious headers, romario, ronaldo, del piero in his prime ect ect

Fact is that we have no striker in the squad who is as accomplished at his strong sides and clinical infront of goal. He would be a starter at any team in the world.

ps. So what Azz... you think we should wait for a 1, or 2 of these goals of Zlatan before we sell him? Surely, the price then would rise up by couple of milions.

I assume this is some poor attempt to be funny, so ill play along. Why would it? Even stankovic can score screamers, but thats hardly makes him more valuable....

International level means just better opposition, that's it. But spaniards play the same type of football, as they mostly play in spanish league, so that is poor argument. There is a reason why Veron when in his prime at Lazio was hailed as great, great playmaker, and what he did in Man Utd? Different type of football, needs a little different characteristics.

You never know, might happen this summer. If Villa will perform during the whole tournament as he did against Russia he will leave Valencia 100%. i think Inter may be one of the teams he will be interested in.

Cro, I admire your determination, and I am gratefull, you praised Poland after our derby with Germany, but as I was well aware Germany deserved to win that game, you should have the same feeling after yesterdays game.

I really enjoyed the game between Ssweden and Greece. Tactics at its best. Even if Greeks were more keen on passing the ball amongst each other, rather than passing it forward. Still, if you really like football, you apprecaite games like these, but if you are one of those diiots, who like stadium lights, drama, pace, rough tackling etc, you probably wont.

Spain-Russia was good as well. Freakin Spain man, all of there goals were so so good. Villa is amazing, and I have been saying that for a long time. For me he would have probably been another Torres story. Crap Crap when you are in laliga, but when you move to EPL, you become great, cause EPL is the ultimate place that determines your greatness.

I think after a performance like this, Villa would never go to Tottenham, probably give them the middle finger like Eto. But sadly I do see him ending up at Chelsea. They are gonna get rid of Drogba, selling him to some idiots on the market, and then get a much better striker in Villa. Atleast after impressive performances in Euro, he wont go for cheap.
A Villa-Ibra duo would be a wet dream.

Well Poland deserved every praise, but listen for this:

Greece is defensive team. OK.
They defended superb, Ibra was invisible, Sweden didnt have one chance, onyl when stupid Nikopolidis did mistakes Sweden could do something...but still, not enough, nothing special.

Everyone are talking about Greece short passings in defence, so what? they are allowed to, they are doing it so Sweden comes attack them, and then they can do a counter or some stuff...but no, Sweden didnt push at all.
So why is Greece defensive team that doesnt want to attack and win, when same Sweden didnt want to push at all?

Greece did push, at 0-0 they clsoed down Sweden defence, and Karagounis had chance cause of that, and sometimes Sweden had to kick long balls, or send them into throw in.

Sweden didnt deserve this win. Its not cause I am Greece fan, its just I watched game too closely, and know what I saw.
Draw would probably be most fair.
