What amazes me about this game is that the only way Verona came close to scoring was because we basically assisted them, I think this is a better performance than those against Spal and Benevento and it's great to see us looking so good.

The few issues I have are Gagliardini and D'Ambrosio who looked pretty error-prone, but Valero (aka Oldero to some geniuses here) was fantastic.

The game was never in doubt tbh, when we wanted to score, we scored would really like to see us be more incisive on the counter, Verona unlike other small teams left a lot of space. I admire Spalletti's mentality to keep the team stretched and pressing till the 90th minute even though my heart doesn't.

PS Cancelo what exactly does he add? Tbh, would prefer giving minutes to Karamoh who did much more in his cameo appearance.

These ratings are ok overall, but I would make a few slight changes. They are being to kind to some players, like Perisic who had a terrible game apart 1 good shot and defensive help to Nagashit. This is how I would rate the players:

The ratings I agree with:
Handa: 5
D'Ambro: 4.5
Skriniar: 7
Miranda: 6.5
Icardi: 5.5

The ratings I would downgrade:
Nagatomo: 4.5 (-0.5)
Vecino: 6 (-0.5)
Gagliardini: 5.5 (-1.0)
Cancelo: 5.5 (-0.5)
Brozovic: 5.5 (-0.5)
Perisic: 6 (-1.0) - only because he scored the goal

The few ratings I would upgrade (these two were are only consistent threat going forward):
Valero: 6.5 (+0.5)
Candreva: 7 (+0.5)


Inter overall downgraded to 6, that too only because of the away win.

MOTM: It a toss up between Skriniar or Candreva.

does anyone have an extended link for the penalty?
i read in several places that cerci was offside, but the only image i have seen is the highlight from bein posted above and the angle is not the best to see it well.
i think he is offside (by a foot or so), but it would be easier to see with different images.
also i confirm my in-game impression that it was a charge in any case
