I dont think he was all that bad. Prolly cold have done a little better with the chances given to him but I saw him coming back and defending and helping out as much as he could. There is nothing I can fault him for cept that header wide. Could have buried the game right then and there.

don't expect more from this style of strikers, they score or they don't score, they "don't play a bad game", he only had 1 clear chance to score and he missed, ok. he is a finisher, not a ibrahimoivc.

Crespo didnt have a poor game. he wasn't playing today. He was just allowed on the field, to run up and down the field, to get some fitness. The running track near his house was closed down, and he couldnt find any other place. :p

I don't think he was worse than Messi and Saviola last night! Although I didn't see a single minute of the match yet!

Saviola was junk and should have been taken off earlier. I think Crespo was decent he wasnt great but he didnt take the golden chance given to him by Stan. That ball was perfect and someone with the predatory instincts he has should have buried it.

I hope he will be sharper in the next leg as a clinical couple of touches from him could make things ten times easier for us.

This was inevitable finally. Chelsea want to make a money with Crespo as they have an option to call him back. Chelsea know Crespo doesn't have any intresses to play in England again, so of course they call him back and ask a transfer sum from Inter to get him back. They can afford to keep Crespo without him playing so it's not so much in Inter's hands to get him (but to accept the transfer sum). If the price too much, we should try to get Suazo or Amauri.

Good to see Crespo just pick up his stuff, and wave to teh crowd and calmly walk back to the locker room, without getting invovled in a neanderthal melee that was happening on the pitch.

Have I finally found a man who doesn't blindly support all Inter players in their fighting actions last night? There's hope for us.

I don't care about the so-called affection for Inter, if they cared so fukcing lot they would've been to exsausted (sp?) after the game to give a damn about Valencia's provocations.

Have you ever been punched by someone who came out of nowhere? Who had nothing to do with you?

If I had even one leg and someone did what Navarro did, I would farking break his bones, exhausted or not, how can you expect anyone to just take it lieing down?

I don't know about you, but to me violence is one of the most primitive reaction of humans.

If Navarro punches Burdisso, he's the one in trouble. It's just laughable that everyone has to kick his ass just because he punched a player, as it shows how primitive they are. Navarro would've faced the charges alone if we hadn't made a fuzz. Instead, we will pay dearly for these happenings in the future, more dearly than Valencia.

It's a shame. As for myself, I feel a lot better if I can be able to look at the player and say/think "he's a poor fellah", instead of snapping and face the same charges as him.

But I guess we're all different.

I don’t think many people on this board are pro-violence. However its one thing to type away your thoughts on the following day of such incident than actually being there seeing your team mate being punched by someone who wasn’t even on the pitch. I believe it was more the way Navarro did it than anything else that triggered such reaction from our players – and rightly so.
On top of that you have fought for 90mins and are now out of Europe. There are way too many factors that trigger such incident. So it’s not as black and white as you would like to put it.

I am all for non-violence...would neva fight...
but if someone does that kind of thing...no way I would leave him...wot he did was like hitting your brother or someone from your family

I see your point, and I do agree. But I still feel that remaining calm is the more, perhaps, sophisticated way of reacting, since Navarro will have his trouble afterwards anyway. I'm talking about temperamental players as Materazzi and Ibra. They did the right thing IMO (given that they didn't do anything that they can be penalised for).

Forza ragazzi, I am against violence as well and was one of those who were disgraced by our curva in EuroDerby II.

But the situation in the Mestalla was different. The tension was extremely high and when you see a team-mate got cowardly punched like that, you definitely would lose control and the first think you'd want to do is react.

If Forza Inter plays Forza Milan in a football match and I see Hamed got done like that, I'd probably do the same.

Forza ragazzi, I am one of those guys who has rarely been involved in fights. Hate violence and am totally against it. But in situations like those, it's kinda must to defend your friend !! Just imagine your friend just having being beaten for no reasons. What would you have done ? Leave that coward or give him some lessons ? I am not saying kill him or anything but it's a must to do atleast something and I would have done the same what Cordoba, Cruz had done.

Why weren't Matrix and Zlatan involved in this ? There's a reason for that and if I am not wrong, it's coz they didn't see and hear what those others guy did.:)

Just that the environment there was different, where you have just been knocked out from a very important championship, invloved in a small scuffle with an irritating Marchena and if that wasn't enough, being punched by a gay coward.

Last but not the least, I still understand your point.;)
