Dogen, thank you for the updates on Sinisa and his daughters. We needed it after the shitshow we're experiencing lately. As for the predicted lineups, i believe GdS prediction will end up being right. I am expecting a Brozovic-Mario-Radja trio in midfield and our last season trident in attack. Even though the last time Spalletti used a diamond was in the last season game against Bologna at Meazza i don't think he'll go for it. We barely half two decent midfielders, let alone 4. If Spal decides to play with both Icardi and Lautaro i think he'll use a back 3 formation. I hope he won't go for it as it has never worked.
You're very much welcome about the TMZ-Esque report and yes, it's probable that Spalletti will choose the safest route and play it conservatively, with a similar line-up to the one predicted by Gazzetta. I can see it.
Also, it's the same old story: with all kind of rumours about the summer and a new coach circulating in the media, once more, it's the perfect scenario for the players to not “take responsibility”.
Last season we survived a few disgraceful performances between January and February, and had a Spring resurgence for a number of reasons (a moment of brilliance by Karamoh here, a goal from set-piece by Skriniar/Ranocchia there, then Rafinha, the flexible back three with D'Ambrosio to free the RB regista Cancelo, the Brozovic effect, no European football...), but right now, things are not looking good.
Two strikers formation somehow fully implemented? "Perisic booed off at San Siro but then revitalized in a new LB role" incoming?
Seriously, on the bright side, we are 6 points clear of the fifth place, rivals are not consistent and maybe there really was a “physical recall” (mini-winter preparation with higher workload) with a view on Spring.
Let's hope we can “reignite the fire” after the storm, before it's too late (unfortunately, Sinisa thinks the same for Bologna on Sunday).
