4-4-2 works well just fine when the opponent is Bologna, Lecce, Catania or similar level team. They don't have midfielders who can control the game and they defend tight with just few offensive players on the lineup. With two central midfielders, Inter can't play against Milan, Roma etc. let alone English top clubs.

We played very, very good game. Extremely offensive. If someone is not happy with the lack of goals, I will aplaud. But nobody can say any other bad word for this game. Bologna looked dangarous only when they scored this fluke goal, and they pushed a little more. If that not happened, the game could be as good as over.
We did the same with Mancio at the beggining, and the difference is, we drew a lot of those games back then, while here we win.
When we look at how offensive this was again, we did excelent in deffense(without this fluke).
Ibra and Adriano need both -1, or -2 points in the scale of GdS. If they would bag one each, they would be fine, but they need to work this out, especialy Adriano, who I took for a very clinical striker. He is working very hard, I like what I see, but he still lacks this killer instinct he was famous for. They still deserve 7, or 7.5.
I also think Ricky had the best game in Inter shirt. He still is somewhere off his golden form, but he is getting there. I can see the progress. He needs to adjust to the italian deffending, as in Portugal it was much easier. Over 30 year old Figo could do it, so he can do it too, I'm sure. He needs a little more time and a little more confidence in himself.
I really was very happy with the performance. Just until Bolognas goal, we completely dominated game, had plenty of chances to score, and gave Bologna almost nothing.
