Give me the B team. Ranocchia, Lazaro, Sanchez, Esposito etc. Padelli deserves a start too.

Though the need to advance too. The most realistic way to get a trophy this season.

Padelli
Skriniar - Rano - Bastoni
Lazaro - Barella - Valero - Vecino - Di Marco
Lukaku - Esposito

Give chances to Sensi and Alexis to get some playing time and return to their best. Depending the result, Agoume might get some chance.

I would rest Lautaro, that's for damn sure. He's been fouled pretty badly in the past few matches, couple of nasty knocks and shoves. Maybe I'm being cautious because of what happened to Zaniolo but Esposito/Sanchez should be plenty to deal with Cagliari that are on a downward spiral. +1 for Padelli and Ranocchia, they deserve to play here. I would put Sensi in for the second half however. Start Valero for all I care. Then go Sensi/Barella in the second half if we can't kill the game early on.

We are coming off 3 draws in the last 5 league games, we should preserve our full strength for the weekend fixture.

I have a feeling Conte is like Spalletti in not wanting to change his starting 11 unless he is forced to because of injury or suspension.

Just go with the backup team. Going all out for Scudetto is much more important than chasing Coppa. Furthermore, winning Coppa or any other cup competition is very unreliable. It only takes one wild pile driver from Nainggolan or random mishap from Padelli to end our run in this competition.

And Lazaro MUST start at RIGHT WING BACK position. No excuse.

Ranocchia has been super supportive of his teammates from what I can tell. I know he's getting paid etc. etc. but I hope he starts and plays well for the romantic in me.

If we throw out our B squad this will be the beginning and end of our Coppa adventure. Not that it matters, we'd probably get wrecked by Atalanta next round.

There was only ever going to be an outside chance of competing for the league, let alone winning it. And I'm not saying that as a knee-jerk reaction to the horrendous match against Atalanta.

We should definitely aim to win the Coppa though. Despite (somehow) still being 6th, Cagliari have the worst recent form in the league. 1 draw and 4 consecutive losses in their last 5.

We can and should focus more on the next league match. Rotate here where we can.

With Candreva being inconsistent and D'Ambrosio out, Lazaro definitely needs to play. His poor performances have all been matches where he's been thrown under the bus - forced to play out of position, or coming on as a late sub in a huge pressure match while we're losing. As I've pointed out before, he's actually done well in the precious few starts he's been given and when he's played on the right.

Sensi and Barella both need to play a little bit and get some minutes back in their legs. It'd be nice for Sanchez and Esposito to get some game time too. Between these considerations to juggle, I'm looking forwards towards a competitive squad and a chance given to some of our backups.

A small, childlike part of me is quietly hoping that Dimarco plays and impresses. It's not because I have any belief in him, but because I don't want to buy an expensive 3rd choice WB in Ashley "shit in my mouth" Young.

Give me Padelli, Lazaro, and start Barella and Sensi with one of Vecino/Gag/Valero. If Valero starts, he can play centrally in Brozovic's place. If Vecino starts, give Sensi a go at DM.

I'm hoping we field as many starters as possible with the likes of Padelli, Lazaro, Sanchez etc. The Coppa is a price and we need to win some silverware. It's the easiest and shortest way to a price so we shouldn't take this lightly.

Coppa is not important as CL or Serie A, but it's still important. I don't see a reason why we should not try to win it. It's already 8 years that this club is winning nothing. Really too much for a club like Inter. And maybe it seems ridiciolous but fucking Lazio won more trophies then us Napoli and Roma in this years, even if they always fail to play CL. And this year they are finally showing why (3. place close behind Juve and Inter).

Barella and Skriniar will definitely start. Rannochia should too because he was actually pretty good in two matches this season. I also think he is genuinely very supportive of this team.

Lazzaro should start in this match because otherwise when will he play. I hope valero start on this because we need to rest Brozovic when we can in this period. He will play lots of matches in the coming months. Godin should not play at all because his form is dipping if he play twice a week. If Conte want to take a risk, he should play Di Marco. Its not a big risk given the form of Biraghi anyway. The rest is like this

Padelli
Skriniar-Rannochia-Bastoni
Lazzaro-Barella-Valero-Gagliardini-Di Marco
Lukaku-Esposito

You probably noticed that this team cannot fight on two fronts. So rotation is key but Conte insn't the rotational type just like Spalletti. So...

True but it's Cagliari, we still shoudl win. And probably 3 new players will join this month which is good for the rotation

Absolute must win, this is the only silverware we can realistically win this season. So we should do every we can to do so. League would be much much nicer of course and while definitely possible, I wouldn't call it realistic. EL is a whole other story...
