Brozo to overpower Barella in this one and that's like 70% of the job done tbh. Vecino needs to be dropped tho...I'd move Radja to partner Brozo and play Keita behind Icardi.
I am expecting a slight rotation on this one as few days later we'll have the crucial match against PSV. Probably Gagliardini starting instead of Vecino and Politano/Keita instead of Perisic. They were both awful tonight so it wouldn't hurt benching them for this one.
We can't underestimate them because it will backfire but we still need to rotate certain players, unfortunately Brozo is one of them if not the main one.
Spallo said after the match that some players can't play in CL so he has to manage the rotation in the league(smth like this). Therefore i am expecting Dalbert , Gagliardini and Candreva to start vs Cagliari instead of Asamoah , Vecino and Perisic.
Other than those i would like to see Brozovic and Naingolan be left out of the starting line up as well but this way we would risk too much with so many changes.
In FM i would play smth like this:
Actually with 4 days time of preparation its not a bad formation to be used. I honestly value more the CL at this point in the season , where we have actually an opportunity to qualify after the win vs Tottenham rather than Serie A where we wont win anyway and for a CL spot there is still room and time (looking at the results of Milan and Roma). So if i have to choose between risking to lose point vs Cagliari or PSV i would definitely choose Cagliari.
This is the kind of game where we really need to rotate and need our bench players to step up. After that "football match" today, I'd almost be tempted to start Valero and Gagliardini in Brozovic and Vecino's place.
Am I the only one who is more worried seeing the name "Cagliari" than "Fiorentina"?
This is the Inter logic okerface:
- Sassuolo - Torino - Parma=1 point
- Tottenham - Samp (away) - Fio = 9 points
So I am opposing to changing more than 2 this match. And those 2 shouldn't be our currently best performers. Either 2 new starters+ Vecino + Candreva or 4 new starters are way too risky.
You're not wrong, but we won against Tottenham either expectedly or unexpectedly, and we're off to a good start in the CL. While Tottenham and Barca have a hard match in England, we should be looking to take maximum advantage and go all-out for a win at PSV and hopefully head to Camp Nou with 6 points in the bag.
Aside from Frosinone, it doesn't get much 'easier' than playing Cagliari at home tbh. Maybe Parma at home... But at some point we need to take risks with rotation otherwise run the real risk of burning out our precious few reliable players and end up fucking up both our league and European campaigns. I don't like it either, but I really think we have to rotate in either this match or the PSV match.
Yeah I’d be quite up for a Valero and Gagliardini starting here. More than anything though I want to see Keita start instead of Perisic, dude is looking burned out.
Lautaro to get some minutes as well please? Everyone was hyping that Icardi-Toro partnership, I actually want to see it. Plus, Cagliari at home seems like the perfect place to reintroduce him to the team.
Its hilarious to see suggestions to rest Brozovic and Nainggolan and try out Joao Mario... get real people, we have only scared through a couple of wins. This game is worth 3 points like any other Serie A game. We desperately need these 3 points, which means should start our strongest XI. And Brozovic should be the first name on that team sheet.
I think he is going to move Radja next to Brozović, and start Keita behind Icardi, insted of Vecino, Candreva should play, he was our best player yesterdaym, next to Dambo.
