What a way to send a message this past week! It still seems improbable, but the way the top sides are dropping points like Lazio did away to Novara.. why not?!
This is a must win game. We have to win them all to get 3rd... as crazy as it sounds.
Remaining games:
Apr 29, Inter vs. Cesena
May 2, Inter @ Parma
May 6, Inter vs Bilan
May 13, Inter @ Lazio
Here are some of our opponents remaining games:
Lazio: Udinese (A), Siena (H), Atalanta (A), Inter (H)
Napoli: Roma (A), Palermo (H), Bologna (A), Siena (H)
Udinese: Lazio (H), Cesena (A), Genoa (H), Catania (A)
Roma: Napoli (H), Chievo (A), Catania (H), Cesena (A)
I would say Napoli has the easiest run in... as Roma is in horrible form, Palermo as usual is in disarray. Bologna away will be tough as they are relatively good at home. Siena at home will be tricky as they are in solid form but I think they will win that one as well.
In the next round it would be ideal if Lazio and Udine can draw, or even an Udine win. It would be amazing if Roma could get a draw with Napoli. That would make things very interesting with 3 rounds left, especially if beat Cesena.
We still have it all to do as we play Bilan in the derby, and then Lazio away. What we must do is win these next two games, which are winnable, and a club of our stature should be winning. That will give us a chance, and will insure we are probably within 1-2 points off of third, IF not 3rd at that point with two rounds remaining.
I just pray for Sneijder to show the form he is capable of, and for our senior players to step up. We have to have the Champions League next season. It is a priority.
