So Vecino, Gagliardini and Miranda missing for this one. That all of our "DMs" and half of our decent CBs. Now I am worried about this game. Even with Vecino and Gags, our midfield does not provide adequate cover for the defence. Bro and Mario will be much worse defensively. Plus Skriniar will have to manage without Miranda's help.

That midfield worries me greatly. Birsa, Pellissier and Inglese may have a field day. Is there any DM/CB in the Primavera who could play? Is Vanhuedsen back yet?

You worry too much about the midfield tbh. These are pro players. We're not playing against Real Madrid.

The only real worry is whether Frog is playing or not since he is a guaranteed brainfart player.

They're playing Fiorentina and Samp at home, 2 teams notorious for sucking in away games, while Napoli has a great home record. Also, I believe Napoli have a very good record vs Torino as well as home vs Juve.

Now we are just nitpicking over tiny details. Bro is only marginally better defensively as a CM than Mario and that too depends on how interested he is in the game that day. On the other hand, Bro can actually shoot so he is more likely to contribute as an AM. I am still not sure what exactly Mario does as an AM. He is not fast enough to effectively counter, he cannot dribble past defenders, he is not great at providing through balls, not strong enough to contribute defensively, and he cannot shoot to save his life... I mean actually what the fuck? Mario is like that expensive cashmere suit fabric that you bought, which is lying in your cupboard because you don't have time to get it stitched.

On another note, it is so much more fun these days that we can spend time nitpicking over minor details like this one, while Milan are tanking so badly that their fans are grappling with existential issues.

I'm so pleased with Epic Brozo. This season he finally start to get his head working and with his talent, he's better than Gags. I prefer a midfield three of Brozo-Valero-Vecino for this match and against Juve.

It won't happen but we should go a back 3 this game to make the players play in roles as comfortable as possible:

Dalbert -Valero- Brozo- Cancelo
Skriniar-Ranocchia-Dumbo

I know I know, don't change something that's not broken, but I genuinely feel like in this case we should go with the above. Putting Ranocchia/Dumbo in a back 2 is asking for trouble...this way both will be more comfortable. Dalbert and Cancelo as well wont have as much defensive pressure, plus Perisic and Candreva can help Brozo and Valero in the midfield when needed

Chievo just need to fuck off to Serie B for all time. I don't exactly know where it comes from, but I have nothing but contempt for these cunts. Maybe it's because almost every Chievo fixture is a borefest, maybe it's their obnoxious uniforms, maybe it's because they're taking up a slot that could be occupied by a real team, like Parma or Vicenza. Whatever the case, I'm throwing a party when Chievo get relegated and you're all invited. Except Fitzy of course.

brilliant. I have the exact same feelings towards Chievo. And Udinese. God I fucking hate matches against these two. This match is on my birthday (1AM Australian time). What a bleak way to start the 28th year of my bleak life.

Chievo are always difficult to play. Extremely organised, not mistake prone. Won't be shocked if we draw.

I'm on the cautious side of the fence here. We've seen this team give way too much to smaller teams for large periods of the game for me to be completely dismissive of any opponent just yet.
