I think it was a good test for the players. Adriano looked good because he moved well during the 45 minutes given to him and if some think that he was sluggish, then the whole team was.

Please remember that those guys haven't played a match in sometime and what matters is that they get back in shape through playing those friendlies.

Suazo was good too. He moved well with the ball and off it and I'm really looking forward to see him play.

Nice start Suazo was awesome Adri showed his strenght Balotelli and Bolzoni looked good and Solari was very good as well. Solid win for a solid team but overall the match was pretty boring but the first game of the season always is...

* Cruz should never take free kicks
* Matrix seems to be angry about the refs decisions even when its a friendly
* Suazo's exploding pace will be useful in the future
* It's still the chubby Adriano

* Agree
* Agree
* Agree
* At least he's really trying now.

Isn't Adriano a good free-kick taker?? Not good in a a Pirlo-Seedorf sort of a way :D I've seen Ronaldo put in a few more as well But isn't he at least better than Cruz?? :confused: I mean he has probably the most powerful left foot in the world...I think that velocity tests showed his kicks as being more powerful that Roberto Carlos :eek: (another Inter player gone good :D ) kicks...he is also great at bending and swerving the ball I remember the excellent free kick he took for Brazil in the Confederations Cup ;)

He was. The free-kick in the Confed Cup that you remembered was scored against Germany.

From the top of my head, he's scored FK against Parma (03/04), Udinese (04/05), Messina (04/05), Roma (04/05), Roma (05/06), Ascoli (05/06) (The game before he scored twice when we beat you 3-2 :p).

His father had magical powers, when he left for his heavenly abode, Adriano lost all that.

No offence Suneet, but it is amazing how most of us think that Adriano only lost his mojo after his father's passing. His father passed away in the summer of 03/04, immediately before he hit his form in the first part of 04/05 that made us call him Imperatore.

If anything takes away his magic, it's the booze and his belly.

I remember Adri's best free kick was vs. Udinese, also one of the best free kicks I've ever seen in Serie A. From what I saw in this game he's regaining his agility and his ability to get by defenders easily (even if they're China OT) now all he's missing is he has to rip those shots from 30m.

None taken Han.

I think there are people who sometimes use stupid facts like the one I mentioned in my earlier post.

I think only Alex and Mikey have good meaningful posts about Adri.

So how do you guys think his game against China went? :confused:

technically, suazo is no eto'o, i have been watching him since early national team days nearly 8 years ago, and he has definitely improved his technique.

i am rooting for him to better eto'o if that is even possible, it may not be, but i'd like to see him try

his speed is awe inspiring at times. i would love to see him an eto'o head to head for 40 yards plus, with and with out the ball.

my prediction: eto'o wins the first ten (faster first step than suazo) but suazo wins the final 30.

I forgot how much we sold Martins?
I would love to see them all head to head?
What will happen?
