I'd honestly expect Candreva to get a run out and moving Politano to the left before Keita got a start.

Might as well start Candreva than Keita Balde. The latter one is basically useless meanwhile Candreva can pull an assist out of 87 crosses he makes in entire game. We really miss Karamoh. Sounds weird but he was actually useful when he came in from the bench and he used to make difference in particular situations.

This time last year we thought Cancelo wasn't going to make an impact.

It takes a while for a player to settle sometimes, Keita was the last player to arrive in the summer, it's not like we have a team that play together blindfolded, Keita has been moved around a little as well.

The pair of CBs should be Ranocchia-De Vrij. Škriniar played almost all matches for us and also played in NT, Miranda also played with NT while De Vrij was on bench for Neatherlands and was banched in last 2 Seria A games for us. We should also use Nainggolan in this match for him to get some playing time in his legs before Tottenham, if we want to avoid what happend against Barcelona. It is good chance to try him and Mario together with Valero acting as Brozović.

Lets do this.

Why?

Why “rest” Icardi another easy game? Instead of helping him keep his form, a form that the team depends on.

Why play Gags and Mario, when we need Vecino against Tottenham to be in good shape mentality and physically.

I dont get the rotations so often. Id be totally onboard if we played 2 games in one week and this one was the third game, but nah, not like this.

I dont know whats the equivalent word for “ring rust” for footballers.

In my opinion we should play the same team that will start against Tottenham.

We also have Roma after London so it makes sense to rotate a bit. Only a bit though.

The referee of this match will be Luca Pairetto. He's the son of Pierluigi Pairetto. I am sure most members remember his dad from his involvement in calciopoli.

Two reasons:

1. Some of our players are returning after travelling long distances on International duty. I would give them a couple of days of extra rest for the big game against Spurs, followed immediately by another big game against Roma.

2. Our "rotational team" has done remarkably well so far, infact they have been almost as impressive as our top team albeit they have played against much weaker sides. Frosinone is a good time to give them another start.

Probabile formazione GdS:

INTER (4-3-3): Handanovic; D'Ambrosio, De Vrij, Skriniar, Asamoah; Gagliardini, Borja Valero, Joao Mario; Politano, Martinez, Keita Baldé.

I'm actually curious how this set of players can perform.

This could actually work, Keita instead of Icardi because we don't really have another pure CF, and Lautaro as a second striker in his natural position.

The SS spot might have did the trick in Argie league but it's clear he is better at CF, more natural position to Lautaro so he should be played as such with Inter.
Keita as CF... Nope he should be the SS

I'm all for a little rotation, fuck knows Perisic has needed a rest for the last three months, but these suggested line ups have too much altogether.

As mentioned, I'm all for leaving Perisic on the bench for a game or two, but leaving Icardi, Ninja and Vecino out also is a bad idea that I hope isn't going through the mind of Spalletti. It's better to start most if not all these guys for an hour, get the job done and then look at who needs to come off for a break.

As much as I like Valero, I don't like starting him. He's our super sub and I'd like to keep it that way. Gags has gone way down in my estimation and I am really uncomfortable with the idea of him starting without Brozovic beside him. Keita and Candreva I just have zero faith in. While the likes of Mario and Martinez who I would like to see more of in the coming weeks, I want to see integrated beside the first team, not playing alongside a while other bunch of reserves.

We had a good thing going on until Spalletti started fucking about with the system and line up against Atalanta, let's just go back to what worked and go from there. Success in the CL can't come at the expense of the league, bridging the gap between us and Juventus has to be the priority.

Yeah I was talking about Lautaro, didn't mean to imply that Keita is a CF. I just figure that he is going back in January and that he can now do whatever placeholder position is required of him because we have no one else. Unless you wanna see Ranno again as a CF.
Not really sure that Lautaro is better as CF to be honest, what do you base this on exactly? Mind you, I haven't seen the recent Argentina NT games.

"Dear International Break, see you in March".

60-possibly 65k spectators are expected at San Siro tomorrow (really impressive, but not suprising anymore).
Three points and enthusiasm restored before a huge "triptych" of games? Please

Spalletti:

"Nainggolan is fine, he's completely recovered now. We're happy to have him back available."

"Politano can still do something extra compared to what he's shown already.

"We're confident that we'll be able to get Vrsaljko back as soon as possible. Dalbert still has more quality to show, our fans still haven't seen him in peak condition. I'd like it if he could express himself in that way so they can see."

"Icardi is a goalscoring specialist. He's always able to make his mark in the most important moments thanks to his bravery and character. In terms of how many he can score, he has infinite potential."

"We've built a squad that allows us to play every game at our best and we can win them."

"It's vital that we can take this game and see result seriously but it's not an easier game compared to the others. It's the first in run of difficult games. They will be very important for our future."

"We need to be alert for this run of games and evaluate who is best suited for one game and who is suited for another game according to the players' characteristics."

Many people would disagree, but I personally rate this match much more important than vs Tottenham. After a humiliation (vs Atalanta 1-4) is the usual time of our annual mental collapse. Last year losing to Udinese 1-3 followed by SEVEN matches without winning, while we were unbeaten previously.

If we rotate and get used to the "non-win" feeling vs Frosinone again, then vs Roma-Jube-PSV... history repeats itself again. So no rotation please (unless someone is not fit of course), win is a must to boost the moral up back!
