Well its not everything about where the players play and the formation. In same formation players can play differently, and if those players are well motivated that isnt a weak team apart of Deki who i think will be subbed for Guarin. Also Forlan has said that Stramma play is more different from CR's more direct play, and seeing our team shows more entusiasam i hope for the best. Althow we must not forget that this team was also etusiastic with Gasp, Rafa, Ranieri in those first trainings and failed on the field.

Like with other couches i am not expecting nothing drastic in changes of play. I hope we will see more direct play, motivation, and better use of our young players.

STRAMA AND THE 4-3-3

The style of play for Inter. Zarate-Forlan: forward!
The coach has tried the 11 against Genoa.
Youngsters in small doses, Cambiasso back as starter, chance for Ranocchia.

Appiano Gentile - The 4-3-3 of Andrea Stramaccioni has been born. The coach, who watched Milan-Barcelona in a restaurant together with Branca and Ausilio, has begun to give contours to his creation. In the absence of Wesley Sneijder who is still limited to therapies and specific sessions, the team is going ahead with an attack which consists of one central forward and two wingers.

Bets on offense The ability to expand the field is a must-have according to Strama who tried this yesterday with Zarate and Forlan. The most fascinating challenge is the Argentinian who is on loan from Lazio. Despite the unquestionable technical skills, Maurito often seems to lost in his own blackout during the matches. The change of coach has revitalized Zarate (and not just him), who on Wednesday said that he will give everything in the minutes that he's going to be used. It is also true however that the Argentinian has always been a bright spot at Pinetina during training and then lost on the field during real matches. Sunday will be another big opportunity. Just like for Forlan, in whom, Massimo Moratti recently showed his disappointment despite injuries. In the center should be Milito, but as we saw with Primavera, Stramaccioni will ask his three forwards to change positions constantly in order to not give points of reference to the defense of Genoa.

810bk.png

Deki surely, Guarin on bench A lot of running will be needed in the midfield. The certainty is that Inter will line up three and in front of the defense will be Stankovic. Yesterday, the Serbian was supported by Crisetig and Cambiasso on his sides. Against them where Poli, Guarin and Obi. The Colombian, who was tried in Stankovic's role because Stramaccioni knows well what he could do in the midfield, is not yet ready to play from the first minute. He is planned to play a little bit on Sunday and if there are no setbacks, chances are he could play from the first minute against Cagliari on April 7. Difficult for Crisetig to start against Genoa as in his play, Obi and Poli will battle it out.

Alvarez back After twenty days, Ricky Alvarez has came back training with his teammates. First, he was stopped by a knee injury and then his calf, the 23 year-old Argentinian was not spared despite yesterday despite the intensity of the training. Stramaccioni has now found the reserves in this team with Alvarez, Pazzini and Pazzini to complete the trio.

Maicon stop? One that could rest on Sunday is Sisenando Maicon. After training separately in recent days because of a swollen knee, yesterday the Brazilian - whose agent has dismissed rumors that he has sold his house in Milan - played a large part of the session with teammates but did not play the final training match. If today, he continues not to participate in group fully, Stramaccioni could point to Zanetti and Nagatomo as fullbacks. Without forgetting that Faraoni who just returned from U-21. At the center of the defense should be Ranocchia who yesterday played extensively alongside Samuel.
:palm: What is with Inter Coaches thinking Forlan is a Winger and with omitting Sneijder from the Squad(or is he Injured)

---------- Post added at 12:18 ---------- Previous post was at 12:15 ----------

Once Sneijder & Guarin are back, we should shift to a 4-2-3-1

------------------ Milito
Zarate* -------- Sneijder ------- Alvarez
----------Cambiasso - Guarin
Zanetti -- Ranocchia - Samuel -- Maicon
------------------ Cesar

You could swap Zarate with Forlan/Castaignos/Obi/Alborno/Longo/Bessa for now, and Coutinho next season :)

Backups in the same format:

----------------- Pazzini
Forlan ----------- Bessa ------ Castaignos
---------------- Poli - Obi/Stank
Nagatomo ---- Lucio - Juan ---- Faraoni
----------------- Castellazzi
That first line up looks pretty good.If you play that in the Derby its gonna be an exciting match for sure.Rannochia is a bit weak but he has Guarin and Cambiasso there to help him in defense. And AFAIK Cambiasso is a good passer so it will be no problem for him to connect with Sneijder and the wingers.

I never knew Stramaccioni and Ranieri are GdS reporter.

It`s been awhile since I read a good news on GDS. thanks man!!

I admire this line-up..the only thing is missing is Sneijder instead of Cambiasso, and Ilcuchu taking deki`s place. this would be the best formation you can make out of this team.

And most importantly is consistency, Consistency is a key. Cause you cant play with a line-up and then change it right the next match to again re-changing it the other game. I mean Napoli took 3 years with the same players in the same positions to excel as a team and be what they are today despite having these grea players all this time.

Having good players isnt enough to win, but adjusting them perfectly to play as a team which each one of the group knows his role and his position and get used to his surroundings.. this what makes a good team.

Just saying incase we have forgoten.

Good Point. But if this is the line up then i still question that.Besides if he is playing a 4-3-3 Forlan will play Winger

Not uncommon that GdS got it wrong too. Anyway, Forlan is always better to play wide than center. He is not a goal poacher. He is the type of striker that cut inside from wide.

I know he is not a CF but Forlan is more of an SS IMO something Like Sheva/Henry if you get what I mean

I have no problems with Forlan out wide, it seems like Forlan himself has more problems with it.

Fact is that he is not a winger of course.

But also fact is that we have no real wide players in the team but Forlan has qualities that make him an option to play out wide.

He played there against Catania and did well, minus the crosses that took some time to become precise. He is often there for Uruguay.

Can say same for Eto'o... he was not a winger, but for the good of the team he was converted to play out wide under Mou. Eto therefore had quite a hidden role in the treble season as opposed to next season when he was carrying the team from a central position. But we were better off with Eto'o out wide and a different formation rather than look for a way to accomodate everyone in their best position.

Well, every day 3-4 Primavera players train with first team which for me is very good and interesting idea.

Today I see some "number 8" in the training, but can't put a face and a name together. Shaven head. Bianchetti apparently training with first team, but weird for defender to have no 8... unless he was simply given the first free number...

Seems like the general idea is still to let Primavera players play the Primavera league games. Something which I don't agree with at all because for me winning that league is irrelevant at this moment. But at least they get to train with the first team which should help a fair bit.

And hopefully once Bessa is fit, then he will join the first team.

First we need to find play time for Guarin, Castaignos, Juan too, as well as Poli, Obi, Alvarez, Rano getting good minutes.

if i remember correctly 4-3-3 is what Uruguay played most of the WC when forlan was on fire.. maybe this is an attempt to spark that... any way, our season is lost so why not try out new things, new players and have fun with it.

I see some contradiction here.

I hope after a few days more in training, Stramaccioni will realize that Stankovic can't run anymore.
It would be better to put Crisetig in his place instead, or play Obi or Guarin (if he's ready) and place Cambiasso in his best position in front of the defence.
