The problem with our defence is a fact so there's nothing new here, but I see mainly one reason for it: Lucio and his anarchic playstyle. (put it with a uninterested Maicon and you got a recipe for a shitty defence)
Playing with Samuel AND Lucio forces the team to have a lower, defensive deployment on the pitch - this means playing catenaccio and counterattacks (what we cannot do, since nobody runs of the older guys) or make a "Gung-Ho / all or nothing" offensive deployment as we had today, risk something more but at least try to play offensively and use our offensive power with three forwards who just need to make a little more pressing then they'd normally do (this was the mindset of Strama today - opposed to the one of Ranieri).
The defensive problem which forces us to play lower playstyle (which Ranieri used) is mainly because of the slowness of the two and Lucio's anarchic moves and decisions all around the pitch - not to mention his amnesias on several occasions during the match, where he falls in a comatose state and forgets what to do. Lucio should be sent to the stands until the finish of the season. Strama should play there Chivu or (even better) Ranocchia who'll make maybe some mistakes, but at least he's more disciplined and will get back the self-esteem he lost in those couple of disastrous matches in February and the experience he needs.
A good match, we played really well until Stankovič had the fuel for it (first goal begins from him, second goal is his invention too) playing as a low playmaker. After that it was more a "send the ball to the forwards and hope for the best" mentality. My votes:

Chivu 6
Cambiasso 6,5
