I came by an interesting statistic the other day. The championship divided in two halves: the one after 13 rounds and the one from 13th to today. Here goes:

AFTER 13 GAMES

Juve 32 points 25 goals scored 6 goals conceeded
Milan 28 points 19 gs 8 gc
Inter 17 points 25 gs 22 gc

FROM GAME 13 TO GAME 22

Inter 21 points 17 gs 5 gc
Juve 18 points 13 gs 7 gc
Milan 17 points 20 gs 6 gc

As vou can see, in the past nine games Inter are the form team of Serie A in spite not playing as well as they did in the initial stages. It seems if Inter do not win the Scudetto(and no one should be giving up on it just yet) they will be cursing individual mistakes and bad luck of the first games.

People may complain about being so far off the top but no one can deny that Inter made progress in respect of last seasons. Previously, Inter used to steal points by a goal from Vieri or someone else. This season not only were they at least on a par with anyone they faced but mostly outplayed their oponents. In fact, the only truly awful games were Siena and Reggina away and Chievo at home. Still, pity about the early stages.

Well, of course, but it also needs to be mentioned that we have faced the less good teams in that second half. Now we will start again with facing the best teams in Serie A, as well as the toughest. I consider Parma and Lazio among the toughest teams for us to beat. Especially Lazio which it doesn´t seem to matter how we play against, we´ll end up not winning anyway.

If we can continue in this matter, then we can say that the poor start caused us losing the title. But that would requiere us winning against at least Milan, Lazio and Roma. The away game against Juve is a game we should consider ourselves lucky if we win. We´re not favourites that´s for sure.

I hope that's a sign that the team is gelling together. That's objective number one for me, I am not expecting scudettos this year.

We are playing with a new coach with a new mentaltiy. If he starts using Coco and Burdisso, then i think we have an excellent team for the next 3-4 years.

I think it's because of the rotation , now our players aren't are tired as Juve's players because Juve have played the same 11 the whole season unless one of them was injured.

If we can go 1-0 up we could end up with a 4-0 win by the end of the game. Just look at how Gobbi played with Samp. They managed to create some chances but they were terribly exposed at the back.

If Juve v Inter was tomorrow we would be the favourite, big time.

Right...

So you think the betting companies and everything would have us as favourites at Delle Alpi? ;) When facing a team that leads Serie A and is 12 points or so in front of the away team.

Not a chance we would be considered the favourites in the football world.

True right!!!!!!! this season Inter has really many change. head coach, many players and especially play style. under Cuper,Zac mind defensive tactic.

But Mancini? his very modernism, offensive. Inter with Mancini? this is "New Inter". fianlly star season we are very panic. difficult adapt new play style and pay disaster draw festival.

Now we can see Inter are really great team. especially great balance and mind. maybe now Inter are best team in world. Inter,Chelsea,Barca same mood. of course Chelsea,Barca top league table. :D but Inter can climb best team now!! just need miracle in Serie-A. :star:

Champions league? very optimism moment. :star: :star: but winning final? need God's helping.

What if Juve draw or lose in Palermo and Inter win in Parma? The odds should be made looking at the recent form, not the table.

Well, I'm neutral. :D The game is still far away and a lot could happen. Juve could very well lose their heads and we keep on winning such that we are above them when the second Derby d'Italia come and we can be considered as favourite. Or maybe not. Maybe even though we are on a 10 match winning streak and Juve hasn't won the last 6 matches, Juve would be favourite because Adriano, Martins, Vieri, Cruz, Recoba, Materazzi, Burdisso, Cordoba, Gamarra and Mihajlovic all caught a flu bug and are ruled out of the game leaving us with no senior players in centre defenders or strikers.
