replica is never "fake". Replica is simply the cheaper version of the authentic. Like any other sports jersey. Authentic is what the players wear during an actual game. If you go to Inter official store, it says "replica kits". I think if you bought kits from ebay, they are licensed products but the qualities are different. For example, Moroccan made and sri lanka made may have the same M size but theyre sizing is different. Fakes are those who doesnt have Nike emblem on it. And u can get them for 5 bux on a flea market.

Not necessarily true, I've seen some fake kits that look completely authentic until you actually look at them up close and realize the material isn't as good (and sometimes they do a fantastic job at fooling you too)... but yeah, they can definitely fake the nike, adidas, etc symbols just as well as they can fake the club's badges.

You are right though, replica doesn't necessarily mean fake. Essentially we all wear replicas of our team's kit, it is not one that is used by a player in a game, hence it is a replica. It's just incorrect wording though.

But then again, you cannot identify fakes as replica? Theres a thin line here. Fakes too have "qualities" that are available for you to choose. What makes it fake, is that the stitching and all the detailing are "wrong" somehow. Like I said, if you buy yer jersey on a flea market and they got all the gimmicks on, odds are, youre buying a fake jersey. If you go to a licensed store, or an online store i for which they have license or even an official store, with the same GIMMICKS, you might getting the real ones. And if they do a fantastic job fooling you, they might sell the "replicas" and not the fakes or "fakes" with qualities which makes them a replica.

It's a bit more complex than that.

In order of moat expensive/official

1- player kits (match worn) not available for public purchase. The only difference is that they have a higher mesh count and different tags.

2- official jerseys sold by Inter (lower quality than above, most expensive option available for fans)

3- replica kits sold by Inter (lower quality, hard to come across)

4- replica kits smuggled out of Chinese factories - exactly the same as the above but sold for half the price

5- fakes - various levels of quality, some are crap and some are almost as good as the official ones. The only difference is that your money doesn't go to Nike or inter in any way.

Buy whichever one you want, who cares. I have a combination of all the above from match worn jerseys to fakes that look so horrible the blue and black are fading. At the end of the day it's a show of support to your team.

the fan shop on Zeleznicka, in the Cosmofon building.. They got replica and fake, but i dont know for the new one, but probably they'll get it.. i plan on checking in the end of september...

the replica kits are without number and name, at least they were... you get the scudetto patch as well... While the fake are with name, i know you have milito, etoo and pandev, not sure for zanetti...

So this website would be an example of number 4?

My 2 cents on this fake/official merchandise discussion:

I have both.

As Ehsan said, even within the fakes there is a hierarchy of good and bad fakes. Some fakes come with a Nike logo, no Inter badge, no scudetto patch, and the wrong font for numbers and letters on the back of the shirts. Those are the lowest on the market as far as I'm concerned. I have a few that I paid $60 each for, and they are almost as good as an official jersey. They come with proper font for numbers/letters, all the right badges/logos and are made of great material. If an official jersey from Inter is 100, then these fakes are 85 you know?

I never wear my real Inter jerseys when I play sport. But I can wear these 'high quality' fakes when I play soccer or tennis or rugby or guitar hero or whatever.

I don't care anywhere near as much for my fakes as I do my official jerseys. That's obvious. They are useful as I mentioned above to play sport in and whatnot.

I don't feel bad, because I have both real/fake jerseys, but even before I owned a genuine jersey, I had fakes, and I still didn't feel bad then. I badly wanted an official Inter jersey, and I think that's enough.

Man that site looks shady without even looking at the jerseys...

What about kitsoccer.com? That site I'm not sure about, I've ordered from them before and they look damn real, so I think that one is a better example of #4. Either that or they sell the "imperfect" jerseys which is also what I've heard, although mine are perfectly fine.

agreed..

Plus, jersey from 60 dollars is not fake :D IT is replica, good replica.. Fake jerseys are 5-10 euros, not more, lets say 15 at most. I also have every kind of jersey, but dont feel bad, i really want original from inter.it (which are 70 euros btw) but if i cant afford it what? And i want to be in black & blue, so replica, or even fake will do the job...

when i was jounger, i was 11-12 years old, i was begging my parents to buy me inter jersey, original one, they politely said fuck off  No way they could've spend that money for a jersey they said... So they bought me fake.. Later, my grandma bought me replica, with Inter badge and nike logo... 3 years ago i bought from inter.it, i have saved money just for that, gave my mum cash and she gave me her credit card so that i can order.. Last year i bought fake from pandev, since i didnt have money to get one from inter.it, and here the replica kits are without a name, and you cant put one, and i had to have pandev jersey, so i bought fake.. inter amblem, no nike logo, quite good material for that money.. you have pic in that album thread we have here on FI, or in my FB profile...

this year i already have money required for the official replica, there is a fan shop here that sells them... Just waiting for this years jersey to come out. I am just thinking which one to get, the away or the home jersey...

Well personally I would never buy a $20 obviously fake jersey, would rather be without one, but the half-price "smuggled" stuff I'd go for... it's really all down to personal choice though.

I wouldnt buy a fake jersey It would feel horrible to wear

As i mentioned in a post about 4 or 6 months ago I was in the town and i saw a boy wear a fake man united top (Black away from 07/08) And it was one of the most ugly shirts i saw everything was oversized on it

Made me feel great wearing a non faux inter top

But they are people who cannot afford the expensive tops Thats fine

Anything to look inter

Let's assume 2 original Inter tops cost you US$200 a year.

I'm sure you can save up US$4 a week?

Just do the old piggy bank trick.

I became a fan of Inter buying this fake jersey in Ecuador. People were saying I needed a club team when down there so they took me to a street shop (because it was local) and I bought the Inter Milan one shown there. I liked the colors of the jersey and I was dumb enough to think the Scudetto patch representing Italy's national team at the time. It was like pulling a name out of the hat when I bought it and became a fan ever since. Since the jersey said "F.C. Internazionale" I eventually looked it up and followed them closely. Most people in America luckily wouldn't know it's fake seeing alot of them don't watch the sport.

On Ebay I eventually found a "Chinese factory" replica kit as labeled on here. Either way, I'm happy to represent the Nerazzurri.
