Before buying this seasons shirt I'm waiting for us to start wearing the CWC badge

Exactly. Those teams both had a Nike logo on the right hand side of their shirts and their club logos on the left, with a big empty space in the middle.

The CWC badge is ugly anyway, I wouldn't want it front and center on our shirts. I'd leave the front of the shirt as it is and put the CWC badge on 1 sleeve, since we still need a free sleeve for the CL and Serie A logos.
