Player by player comparison is never a good thing to judge who is the better club. And it is never a fact, it is purely an opinion.

Well, I don´t really look at only one competition to judge a player when I´ve seen him for years before that. Going by this logic, Dellas should be the best defender in the world, since he was great in the Euro 2004. But we all know that that´s not true.

As much as I want to accept that as a fact, that is still an opinion. A fact is something that can be proven scientifically. A fact is something that is completely unarguable. For example, 1 + 1 = 2. You can still come across some crazy people who will think that Zebina is better than J.Zanetti. But you won't come across someone who will argue that 1 + 1 = 3.

To be honest, I have always dislike the idea of player by player comparison. The coach and the physio staff also plays an important, albeit smaller, role to the club. How about the fans and the pitch's quality? You can also never discount the management team. The atmosphere of the club too plays an important role to determine which club is better. Well, this is not a fact, just my opinion.

I really don't care that you didn't see the games Gismo. 3 years ago I couldn't watch any game cause Channel 4 stopped broadcasting Serie A. Eurosport picked it up but for a whole year I couldn't see squat.

But that didn't mean that I couldn't follow Inter. I was reading news and match reports on the net, some friends were posting me newspapers from Italy etc...

So I understand how you can have your opinions about various players and teams, and I respect them

Well that´s great to hear, Francesco. Every person is unique and has his/her own way of seeing the sport called soccer. In a perfect (know it is impossible to reach perfection) world everyone would respect those ways...

But still I respect those who thinks I need to see more to judge. Completely respect that, I just can´t understand that when I respect them they don´t respect me. Also the way they don´t think I have seen enough to judge is odd to me.

i think that they are equal
and also you cannot compare CORDOBA with THURAM and MATERAZZI with CANNAVARO
if i correct the list the only change would be:

Materazzi - Thuram
Recoba - Ibrahimovic

Yeah, you have a point about the Cordoba-Canna thing. I overlooked that and only looked at their positions on the field. Cordoba being the right central defender and Thuram being one.

But indeed, the comparison should have been made the other way around if we look at the characteristics.

I agree with most of your comparisons Jimmy exept I think you are being very nice to legrotaigle put him on the same level as Burdisso. IMHO Burdisso is defenitly above legrotaigle but I quess you haven't seen enough of Burdisso and thats why you put them on the same level??

Hi there Frisko,

I am afraid i am not that big a fan of vd meyde. He has got the skill but is not so good in the mental aspects. He (and his wife) need familiar surroundings to play at his best (which is pretty good).

If he starts feeling at home in Milan he might be of use to us but i am not so sure.

p.s. Do you know where i can get tickets for Inter-matches ?
