Di Marzio said Chiesa and Mckennie, who were injured, returned to group training and should be ready for Inter. Rabiot will return to group training tomorrow and will probably also be ready for the game.
WIthout proper match fitness they are only names to us, because to face our team you need to be 100% ready and you need to be in top top shape. Otherwise our guys will run them to the ground.

I couldn't care any less regarding Chiesa's return but Rabiot's presence in their line-up worries me. He's carried their midfield almost single handedly.

Hopefully Barella is growing some balls and put in a proper performance. It's not going to be easy, but he's gotta do what he's gotta do.

I'm more confident in this one compared to our last match vs Viola. We had key absences in our line-up and it was somewhat a delicate match, but however having back both Hakan and Barella is a huge boost. I really hope our team is going to be aggressive since minute one. We need to chase them as hungry wolves.

Let them know from beginning that they've come here only to enjoy some CN atmosphere.

So a win would put us 4 points ahead and a game less. With potentially going to +7 points.

So please win.

We need to :

1. Crush them on 4th. Get the 3pts !!

2.Then manage the whole February without reducing this lead( gonna be super hard, but doable)

3. Defeat the very important postponed Atalanta ( defeat the Bologna ghosts too from 21/22)

4. Wait until March when Rube has the whole month very difficult games ( while we have easier) and just watch how they will drop pts 1 more time and the difference will be 9/10.

February for us is the scudetto month imo.

I want them playing with their best 11. No excuses for them. If our team repeat performance vs Lazio in Supercoppa I am not worried at all.

Barella needs to control his temper. Allegri knows our weaknesses inside out. He’d encourage his players to provoke us and force Inzaghi to make substitutions

A good line up. I think Darmian can step up for this. Kostic has been one of their main creators on the left flank, and with Chiesa or Yildiz starting, both are like cutting inside from the left, so the Pavard + Darmian combo should be able to limit their play.

Expected lineup.

I reckon we'll get a convincing win at home. The lads will be motivated, especially after seeing that we haven't yet signed a forward :yao:

Full house at home, I think we'll press them like the recent Lazio match. Also, a few players have had week's worth of rest.

Going a 3-0. Calha, Lautaro, Barella. Calha kicks things off with a penalty after Szczesny punches a player in the head from a corner.

As Jae said on the famed podcast, "just fuckin' win".

"With a single point separating the two arch-rivals (although Inter have a match in hand), this encounter has been labeled as a direct Scudetto showdown.

Therefore, Inzaghi will be hellbent on securing a positive result. A win would be a significant step in the path towards the club’s much-anticipated second golden star.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport via FcInterNews, the Inter manager will be looking to rely on four key elements in his matchday plan.

The first key to victory will be aggression from the get-go.

In the two clubs’ last three league encounters, Inter have always fallen behind in the scoresheet. They only managed to rescue a draw in the reverse fixture earlier this season.

However, Inzaghi’s men have learned to enter their clashes with the right approach and will be looking to prove it by snatching the lead this time around.

The second aspect is a frenetic rhythm that disturbs Max Allegri’s resolute defenses.

The Nerazzurri will have a full week to restore their energy levels after beating Fiorentina last weekend. This should help them implement a higher tempo that deranges their opponents.

The third key is the left-side triangle of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Federico Dimarco and Alessandro Bastoni. Inzaghi will be hoping to cause havoc through this trio and their surprising movements.

Finally, the Inter manager will turn to Marcus Thuram and Lautaro Martinez to drain out Allegri’s backline with their tenacious runs and lethal movements inside the penalty box.

The Frenchman has proven himself as one of the best signings of the summer in Serie A. For his part, the Argentine is leading the Capocannoniere race with 19 goals in as many appearances."
