I am firmly convinced SMS is kind of playing badly on purpose to lower his market value, because he fears otherwise Lotito will never let him go.

I am firmly convinced his real market value is 1/3 of what people are talking about.

There's not much more that can be done. It's up to individual quality more than anything. The wing backs are doing their job, the midfield is pushing the ball up. The main problem offensively, to put it leniently, is that Lukaku is not well adjusted to Serie A defences and Politano is quite soft.

Our defence on the other hand is leaking despite being made of 3 top 10-15CBs in the world and gladly our elite level GK closed shop and didn't let one in. Our wing backs and center defenders do not coordinate well and our midfield is just an inactive layer in front of them.

Those leaks from yesterday, you talking about, yes are part of the defensive mechanism, but were not the fault of our CB’s.

There was a lot of space between our back line and the midfielders, and Lazio exposed that to a degree.

Just want to point out yet once again how much of a hack SMS is, especially last night with that epic impression of Brozovic, constantly flailing with his arms and asking through hand gesticulation for impossible passes through 3 of our players.

There is being dumb, and then there is being Lotito dumb. It should be illegal to have an IQ that negative, seriously, to reject an offer of 110m for SMS like he did.

From what I have seen, he was marked all the time. Skriniar was very close to him. That maybe caused some space in the middle that Lazio exploited. He wasn't good, because he had a little space to work on.

That's exactly my point. They are byproducts of the systen.

The only reason we didn't see that in the 2nd half was because Lazio made some suicidal changes and Immobile was out of it.

I don't get this obsession over nationality. Sure, this generation of italian talents seem promising, but the few past ones have been dog shit. I don't want us to turn into a brexit team ala man utd front 3 or chelsea front 3.

I'm the last one to obsess over nationality. Over the years, as you can see from my history at FIF, I don't care whether we sign an Italian or a foreigner, as long as we get the player who makes us better. Thats who we are, Internazionale. And that is one of the reasons I love this club and its history.

However, there is an opportunity now. Every now and then, Italy produces a golden generation of talent. Thats long overdue. But I can see something happening now, a quality generation is coming up and is being nurtured by Mancini at helm of the Azzurri - its quite unprecedented, Azzurri have never nurtured young talent like this before, at least not in the last 32 years since I started following them. That is important coz these talented kids are growing exponentially in confidence due to this exposure and chance of achieving greatness with the Azzurri. They are starting to make each other believe. Look at Barella and Sensi for example - one year with the Azzurri has improved their game and confidence to another level. Its a good time to buy some of the best young Italian talents. They will play together at Inter and the Azzurri, and their value will only skyrocket. If in the next 5 years the Azzurri do well internationally, these kids could blossom into champions from a mental point of view. Thats why I would love to see a couple more of these kids at Inter. Now is the time, after the Euro might be too late for the financial opportunity.

There was a similar opportunity with French and Belgian youth like 5 years ago, but we missed that boat. Now I see this happening in our own backyard, at the same time when we have management (Marotta, Conte) who believe in having an Italian backbone. The timing couldn't have been better for us if you ask me, and we are already seeing some of the dividends (Barella, Sensi). I want more.
