Guys, Burdisso didn't deserve the second yellow card but yeah, he could have avoided that. No way, that was a yellow card. ;)

Mancini's mistakes in this game:

# By fielding Burdisso in the LB position. Figo/Jimenez should have started this game.

# Stankovic should had been subbed long long time back and not just to save him for the Palermo game. No wonder, I am so much looking forward to have Aquilani and also hoping that Mancini doesn't favour any players.;)

# Giving up with 15/20 minutes left was a dumb move. I can understand the Zlatan sub, as it was a bit late and when we had no chance at all BUT Vieira sub ??

# Another proof that we lack a creative midfielder.:boxing:

Burdisso's sending off and those tons of misses changed the game. Torres showed us how to score and we need someone like him next season to partner Zlatan.:)

I really respect the fans that say that they are proud of the team and that we shouldn't bash the team or the coach etc. But I guess I have a different mentality when it comes to these things.

It reminds me of kids these days playing soccer where their parents and their coaches clap for them after a defeat and tell them the most important thing is that they tried.

When I was a kid, whenver I played bad, I'd have 10 screaming teammates and a pissed coach yelling and pulling me out, and I wouldn't cry or complain to my dad.

And I don't get what is there to be proud of? Casual players that don't seem to care? Did you see how indifference some of them were?

Season after season we lose to Valencia, Villareal etc. and people act like soccer moms around here.

Are you farking serious? Both reds were understandable, not glaring but understandable but apes like Materazzi and Burdisso don't have intelligence.

Let's be men and accept a defeat as a defeat. It's not Liverpool's fault that they know how to tackle and most of their tackles weren't worthy of a card.

Understandable? God, that post was atrocious, mate. Materazzi's first was a dive from Torres. Completely nonexistant. Second was soft but can be given. Burdisso's first was also pretty soft but usually is given, but the second was nonexistant.

I agree with you, both Materazzi and Burdisso should of been more careful but you can't honestly believe either of those sending off's were fair.

CN still singing at the end. :star:

Full-time but respect to our boys. They tried their hardest out there and were the better team before the sending off. It sucks something fierce to be eliminated once again but at least we put in some effort this time around. Villarreal and Valencia 2nd legs were sickening to watch compared to this one. Nonetheless, could this be Mancio's last CL game as Inter coach? I'm gonna say yes, but we'll see what happens in the next few months.
Forza Inter!

Class post, mate.:star:

Truth is i dont think Mancini wanted to qualify. I dont understand why figo didnt start this match, and everyone will be questioning Mancini's unproffesional decision to play stankovic over figo, jiminez, or crespo. He didnt even care for pride, to at least salvage a draw for the record books. Taking of veria was a sign of giving up. About the ref, he was to easy on the yellow cards, there were at least 10 bookings today. some were waranted but most were players going for the ball. Like gerrards booking was undeserved. Burdisso deserved the first booking but the second one was harsh, the ref himself was second quessing his decision by hesitating. It was a collison between two players going for a ball. Burdisso was stupid for over commiting but nothing to warrant a second card.

I hate to blame defeat(s) on external factors but god damn it - the ref screwed us big time in both legs. Elimination was always going to be round the corner when you play the sec game with a patched up defence, while going through your worst form of the season due to various reasons and when at the same time your opponent are enjoying their best spell. Also Pool had lady luck on their side in both legs. So basically it just was not meant to be.

Burdisso’s sec yellow was non-existent. Even the biased sky sport commentators and their studio guests agreed that he should not have been sent off. Both controversial sending off’s in both games obviously ruined for us!

Viera crawling out when being substituted was just disgraceful. As for Mancini... well, I believe he should have started the game with Jimenez or even possibly Figo instead of Deki. His substitutions after we went down was just laughable but then again I don’t think much could have been done at that stage.

Beside il capitano I would also credit the crowd for being our 12th player tonight. They were great tonight! :star:
On a positive note we will possibly win 2 trophies this year where as Poll wont win jack a$$. Forza Barca and Roma in the C.L

**** UEFA, and screw Mancini. The guy lost us the game at Anfield with his weird starting line up and he should have made the team more offensive today in the first half(not blaming him for 3-4 chances lost of course, but we should have had 10 chances by half time at least)

Burdisso was fouled and got a second yellow... Materazzi committed one foul, was not awarded a card, and then for two fouls he never committed, he was awarded two yellow cards.

"Hello, I'm Liverpool FC, and if the referee does not force Inter to play with less player, I cannot score.Good night"

Mancini lost us the tie at Anfield. Or at least he didn't even try to do anything but just relied on time to pass and stick it to 0-0. Well, they scored twice with stupid goals that shouldn't have gone in. Had Suazo was used instead of Cruz, we could have made some chances before the second half, and maybe scored.

Today, Mancini could still save it, but he chooses Vieira! Why? Why not use Jimenez or Figo? We ain't the team that's leading the tie. Rivas was shaky, but the guy was more than adequate today. Liverpool had a ridiculous winger in Kuy today, who fell everytime the ball came next to him, and we didn't even take advantage of it. I can blame the players a bit, but it's mostly Mancini. It's not Mancini's fault that Reina saved Cruz's shot, it's not Mancini's fault that Cruz didn't pass to Deki, it's not Mancio's fault that Zlatan missed a couple of relatively easy chances, but it's definetly Mancio's fault that those were our only chances and Liverpool dominated our midfield, before Burdisso was THROWN off.

I'm begging Moratti to sack him and get Mourinho asap! You heard the fans, they were jeering him everytime he made a sub. They were not jeering the players. Too obvious. Mancini is not worthy enough. The holiday in Serie A is over. Milan is going to make a mass change that will probably take immediate effect, Juventus will start to get stronger, Roma is strong enough, there's also Fiorentina and a few other semi-good teams like Napoli and Udinese that we can't beat. We have the best squad and the worst coach. So far the players managed to make the difference. Mancini's touch was minimal. Had it been otherwise, the players would have performed tonight. One or two games being off is excused. But the players are tired, injured, and Mancini has no options. And I ask again, we have finally got most of our midfield back, and have no defence, we are 2 goals behind, why the fack do you not try to attack. Liverpool is a crap team with only three worthy players, and that is Mascherano, Reina and Torres. We are a team of Zanetti, Ibrahimovic, Cambiasso, Vieira, Figo, Maicon, Julio Cesar, Crespo and god knows who else that can make the difference. They did their job so far, it was time for the coach to do something on his own, and he never managed to.
Well done to Torres for the great goal he scored.

I hope Moratti listens to the fans for once... We asked for his head after the Villarreal game, he still remained. We gave him the chance in an inferior Serie A, where the team was definetly the best in the world, and he lost the tie to Valencia, mostly because of the home game.

And someone should send a letter of complaint to UEFA. The ref was not bad today, but he judged Burdisso too soon. Burdisso even showed him his wound that the Liverpool player did to him, but the ref was going to give a red anyway. He gave far too many yellows.

The game was finally over when Zlatan missed his chance. The team was depressed. 10 players and missing chances like that. The coach should have tried something new, but it took him until the 75th minute to come up with something as genius as Pele!!! And he finally brought Suazo on...Unfortunately, 3 weeks late.

Goodbye Mancini, thanks for the Cups and for the Scudetto last season, but we have had enough of you. We should hire you as a spokesperson though, you're really good at talking...

Totally with you man... I said the same thing last year...

Yes the referee was a complete pile of shit in both matches but that doesnt mean we have to play the way played and that doesnt justify mancini doing the things he called tactics and substitutions today.

FIGO
I'm confuesed about the Figo thing. So he isn't good enough for Mancini to start but good enough to score 4 times the last 20 minutes ? Did Mancini say something about it ? He isn't man enough to say he was wrong ? He's blaming Figo ?
The joke of the year.

Is it true Figo refused to come on? If that's true then good becuase it means we won't give him an extension. He can kindly **** off! What kind of shit is that. Refuse to come on? What are you paid for u twat!

And did anyone notice how Vieira just walked off slow as a turtle, taking all the time in the World when he got subbed? He should be shown the door and shouldn't be allowed to play one more match for us.

I think the most blame has to go to the referee, Cruz, Zlatan and MANCINI. Burdisso sending off was harsh, Zlatan and Cruz couldn't finish any chances we got. Zlatan should of pass it to Cruz when he was clearly open. And Mancini's line up was shocking and why didn't he bring on figo, jimenez or sauzo on earlier?

It says alot when Zanetti, our oldest player, is by far the player who runs the most and is our best player by far.

And seriously as good as cambiasso is, he isnt cut out for europe. He cant keep up with the tempo of the big EPL/Liga clubs. He does well in serie a and can controll the mid well because its too slow, but he completely fails against fast teams and teams who keep the pressure up all over. Same goes for Vieira, he is just too old and shitty to keep anymore.

Burdisso? What is there to say, last straw for this fag. He constantly ****s up when he plays, either making stupid fouls or else he finds other ways of being a jackass (valencia, roma ect), he is a bomb waiting to explode every ****ing time he plays.

Stankovic was ridiculously poor, why he wasnt subbed earlier is beyond me. We need to get rid of mancini to he can take this sucker with him, he is slow, poor technique, wasting our freekicks.

Ibra needs to stop taking freekicks, he absolutely suck at it. It disgusts me everytime he is a near a direct freekick.

Its disgusting how little our players move for eachother when we are passing the ball around. The only reason the ball got forward at times today was when zanetti brought it forward. They simply dont move for eachother, a bunch of lazy old tards.

We need to stop playing in the CL, its getting boring to be the laughingstock of europe every season.

Also this situation is not comparable to the one in the previous seasons in the previous season we did not fight and played like chickens but this time the boys fought and gave they re all and if the referee would have been normal we would have gone through so if it s all the ref s fault why should i bash the players ??

Glad someone else saw that, to me it seems it was a good call.

Inter fans seem to be wired to blame the ref everytime it goes wrong!

its ppl like this that embarrass me being an inter fan

moron, stupid ****ing asshole.

go read on the official rules of having possession of the ball and what it is and look at the burdisso challenge closely and the possession (or lack thereof) from lucas and see if it was a yellow

under official rules its not even close to being yellow or a FOUL even

moron. you represent everything sad with inter fans

XL, I would normally agree 100000% with you but I understand thier point of view.

What is the difference between those two players and the rest of the squad? They might be over-the-hill, but those two have in between them trophies that the rest of the squad combined don't have. They are both winners and very intelligent.

So when you face a situation like what they had to face today, you can't help it but wonder what the fark is the coach thinking. I totally understand them both, someone has to step up in a spectactular fashion to show that the coach is incompetent, and I thank both players for that.

The ref sent Burdisso off after Burdisso showed him the wound. I don't know what the ref was smoking, or was Burdisso sent off for showing too much of his body

And stop whining about the red cards.

The challenge by burdisso was completely unneeded, there was no reason for him to make such a risky challenge that he knew could give a second card.

And with Materazzi if he hadnt been thrown of then, it would have happened 5 minutes later. Materazzi vs torres, materazzi's only chance is to pull him down and thats what he did. Cordoba should have marked torres, not materazzi, poor judgement from mancini not to have cordoba manmark him.

It doesnt matter if these fouls doesnt look like cards in the replays, they do in real time. Materazzi and burdisso are supposed to be pro's, they should know better than to make blatently obvious errors that they know can give cards.

Man, stop trying to defend everything Aregentinian, you aren't Argentinian, this game is old.

Why don't you do us a favour and pretend you are someone else, like you like to do. Go and dress up like a whore, have a cock in your mouth, another in your hand, and never talk or type here again and pretending to be Mr. Cool.

azz i dont expect you to know as all you do is go with your head without any logic

under all the official rules and replays, burdisso challenge was not even a foul let alone a yellow under all the official rules

milan and roma fans are even saying this.

the only people who are not are people who have not seen it clearly, bitter juve fans and clueless inter fans like hammoudi

its sad they represent inter
