I'm sorry but is Deki a nickname reffering to Kily?

:depress: I'm embarassed

In Serbia, if a guy's name is Dejan (Stankovic), his nickname is ussually Deki. Just like Tommy is for Thomas, or Mickey is for Michael.

BTW, how did you make the Deki/Kily Gonzales connection? :dielaugh: ;)

lol cuz Deki rhymes more with Kily....i dunno im half-baked :depress:

:dielaugh:

A draw here and we've secured at least 4th place and qualification the CL preliminaries. ;)

So this means our team will only have a vacation of 20 days! This is not good, since the season has been long.

Maybe we have to sacrifice the Coppa by giving some vital players an early vacation. I am guessing Cordoba, JZ, Cambi, Adriano and Martins. I think these players should leave as soon as Serie A is over.

This is a stupid situation, thanx Dracula.

Like Mancio has said: They expanded the Serie A to 20 when we should've aimed for 16.

I think having 20 teams is good, eventhough it increases the number of games.

Didn't you notice Serie A being more exciting, with many high-scoring games and great results by mediocre teams? That's because the percentage of teams being relegated is lower than that of previous years.

Now, the so-called lesser teams can be more adventurous and not settle for the ugly 9-man defending so typical of serie A. Teams like Bresica, Siena and Chievo who still use it at times should be relegated. While teams like Palermo, Sampdoria and Cagliari who attacke a bit more are doing well and should deservedly be in Serie A

Serie A is allright. But it's insane that Coppa Italia continues almost to the July..

I like to see good defensive football from the small Italian clubs. Of course I'd like to see goals and such. But a 0-0 can be more exciting than a 2-2 easily.

Regarding the argument that expanding the Serie A is a good idea... How can it possibly be a good idea to have 38 matches, Coppa Italia and European tournaments on top of that + NT matches and World Cups. Next season is gonna be a nightmare for all top players and Cannavaro will take an extra shot of Neoton. where does that leave us?

With a bad quality of the game way too often because the players are tired when they come home from a CL match in Moscow, a Coppa Italia tie in Sicily and an away game in Serie vs. Lazio. All those trips and playing time simply destroys the body in the long term and it's wrong!

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have the Serie A expanded to 30 teams if possible. But hey, players are not machines...

Perhaps what Galliani can do is to decrease the number of matches that big guns in Serie A should play in Coppa Italia. Another thing would be to use just 1-leg per tie and a repeat if necessary, just like FA Cup. But I hate that idea since it is unfair to the away team.

Nonetheless, for me, 20 teams in Serie A is surely too much. What they could have done instead is just to decrease the number of teams relegated to 3 and keeping Serie A to just 18 teams. :)

I so disagree with this. On the contrary I'm in favor of having all Italian teams go in to the tournament at the same time. It's ridiculous that the Serie A teams have already qualified so much in advance!

And the two-legged ties are the very heart and soul of Coppa Italia. As far as I'm concerned it's the only Cup Competition in the world that is not played in one match. :)

Bad news to those in Canada, TLN will not show the Inter game this weekend. I guess this is what you get for not being in the title hunt :depress: I better start preparing for the annual soccer-less summer from now. And no EC or WC this year :depress:

If I am not wrong, there were some news which said that there was a talk on changing the format of Coppa Italia Cup. I read that Coppa would be played like FA Cup - one leg. In the beginning, the small teams will have the advantage to play in their home ground against big teams, but it said nothin on what would happen later on OR what would happen if two big/small teams were playing against each other. By the way, how's this handled in English league ?? What if Arsenal play Chelsea in FA Cup ??

Back to the main topic of this thread ....

We must win against Livorno at any cost to confirm the 3rd spot & hopefully it will be for one and for all. Then, we can totally focus on Coppa Cup's second leg, then play those who haven't got much chances to play. We can then rest players like: J.Zanetti, Cambiasso and co.

---------------------- Toldo ------------------------

Ze Maria --- Cordoba -- Mihajlovic --- J.Zanetti

Karagounis --- Veron --- Cambiasso ------- Kily

-------------- Martins ------ Adriano --------------

:)

Yea the Coppa Italia is set to be revamped for next season, but if I remember correctly some rounds will still be played over two legs.

Anyway....Livorno could be tough opponents, or they could roll over without much of a fight :D , I certainly am hoping for the latter.

The team will probably look similar to the one against Cagliari in midweek. Take out Matrix and put Ze Maria in and take Carini out and put Toldo in. Adriano should be given one more game to hit top form and Livorno could be the perfect opponents for him at the moment. I hope he can get a goal.

-----------------------Toldo--------------------

Ze Maria----Cordoba----Mihajlovic----Javier

Karagounis----Veron----Cambiasso-----Kily

---------------Obagol-----Adriano------------

3-0 Inter  . Adriano and Oba 2

Man, I had a dream about this game tonight. We lost 3-1. :D All goals were basically scored during the extra time.

Either way, Lucarelli is the obvious threat and perhaps this is the time where Materazzi will play an essential part.
Defensively, Livorno has been ridiculous the last two matches and we should continue with this path.

Sigh... It's so ridiculous that my faith in humanity and the society, is simple being shattered.

Thank God it has absolutely nothing to do with football, but rather a bunch of thugs who has too few braincells.
