We don't need a separte topic for this, or a moderator should rename it the return leg or the end of inter, or something else.

I am a big inter fan, but we will not qualify. I just know it, there are so many things wrong with us. It's frustrating, we have all the ammunition but our general is blind, deaf and is only interested in attack.

Nah, Cambiasso have been our best midfielder sofar, we really need him in our CM, and his defending skills is better then Davids. But overall Davids is a better player. And putting Davids alongside Veron would be suicide.

I don't mind him leaving us after this season, actualy I would be pleased to see Davids leave. And for all i care he is more then welcome to take Miahj and Matrix with him.

I'm sure that Davids will be 100x times better than Stan as a LW, but Mancini doesn't like him.

Cambiasso should be untouchable as a CM or DM. Mancini is punishing us by his stubborness and favouritism.

football now is depended on full team theury which means the whole players attack and we all defend when we lose the ball ....... and manchini try to admit this techqniqe and it's very good one

He probertly will. But it would be kinda stupid to play with the likes of Cambiasso, C.ZAnetti and Davids at the same time. Heck I would prefer that we played with a Davids cambiasso partnership on our CM, and I'¨m sure that it would be far better then the one we have now. Since Davids can help in the attacking aspects of the game with his good pases, which C.zannet can't since the only thing he is good at is defending aspects.

-We need wingers, must need with in our game, that is how Depor knocked off Milan last season.
-We need tridente, in our desperate hours of need, the tridente has worked a fortune; such as the Sampdoria and Juventus games. This is an hour of need, tridente must be used IMHO.

Man, again! What the heck do you see in Stan? HE SUCKS AS A WINGER. Play 4-4-2 with real wingers, why should we use this line-up. Materazzi in defence? oh my!!! Burdisso would provide the height, what would Materazzi provide? playmaking for the other team??? And why is JZ as a RW, have you ever seen him make a decent cross?

We will not advance, but I don't to lose 5-0 either. We have to figure out an identity for this team, Mancini is a 4-4-2 man, and he has the players for it. Still, he wants to fabricate something with his Laziale clan, it was a bad decision to have this mini-enclave in our team.

Putting Davids in the game can be risky, but then it is those who take the most risk that win.
Why not for Emre as well. LOL j/k
Veron had a good first half, but sadly he had to be replaced in the second half. Cambiasso had a good game. He should play the 2ng leg as well.
Winger wise we should start VDM. When he came into the game he did cause some problems right side. He has speed, he might have the best skills, but he has speed and his crosses can be deadly.
Karakougnis. He had a great game according to me. When he came on he put his heart and soul into the game. Stankovic should pick up some from Kara.
I think beginning with beginning with 3 attackers can be risky, because Milan are as always good at those counter attacks. But then again those who risk the most win the most. You know if Adriano is not 100% then I would suggest him sitting on the bench, and coming in the second half if needed (See I am very optimistic!). Damn bad that Recoba cannot play.
If Recoba was in we could put him on the left wing.
Martins, start with Martins. I have a great feeling that he will score.
What I think we have the most problem is, is our strikers. Cruz should not play in the 2nd leg.
PLZ PLZ Miha, do not let him play.
Burdisso or Matrix should start.

I think if we score early, then we are through. We will pressure them to defend against the overtime rather than try to put us out with a goal if we score fast.

Also, all the time. the players lose a derby and lose their hotness in a months before next derby. THis time its a 2nd chance. They know it. They can demolish Milan if they want to. With hotness they will. But Milan will be guarding a 4-1 upset.

oh, Davids as a LM... I'd want that so bad. Too bad it's not gonna happen. Veron to middle, no question. He's too slow to play on the right when we're two goals down. And Deki.. How much I'd want him to be star in this match but Frisko, we don't blame him for nothing. Do you remember Inter-Roma? Deki had been bad in many matches before that. he started on the bench, came in second half and he was thunderous!! We know he can be great but he seems to have problem in his head, I think. Put him to the bench and he may wake up.

I can't put Davids to my midfield though I wanted it. It just not gonna happen. Any way, here we go.

Yeah I know Cristiano was maybe our best player on wednesday but what can you do? It's him or Cambiasso on the bench.

Anyway IMO Andy has been a little bit better on the left than right but not much difference maybe. On the left he could turn in and use his good shot when his crosses are a little bit weak. That's why I'd accept also Kara for Kily in my line-up. But I find Kily's experience in CL and everywhere else important.

If Deki plays which is very likely, I'd put Andy to left and Deki to right where his much more comfortable.

1- Materazzi is in defence, because I chose a three man defence to provide us more attack. He's in there because, I'd rather Materazzi than Mihajlovic...because Materazzi has done well against Milan in the past, IMO he was Inter's MOM against Milan in the first derby this season, faultless.

2- I like Stankovic because he was a champion at Red Star and Lazio. I think I'm just getting used to seeing his name at LM, I agree he should be used in his true position (either cm or rm).

3- Zanetti is at RM, because with my 3-4-3 little formation, you need Zanetti somewhere, he's too good to miss out. He has played rm in his career (which I'm sure you would know) and he can cross, he is a very good cheeky little attacker at times.

As I said, Inter needs to go out with a tridente, and I can't see us challenging with 3 in midfield, so therefore we have to play 3 at the back...because Milan will defend their a$$es off and counterattack.

There are so many ifs and buts about this match, but one thing that is clear is we must make changes to certain departments, most notably the midfield in order to present a tougher challenge to Milan than we did last Wednesday.

As everyone has rightly agreed, Stankovic is a waste of space. It pains me to say this, but the guy does almost nothing and is yet guaranteed first team place. If this is not a sign of favourtism on Mancini's part, then i don't know what is. Van der Meyde and Kily should start on the right and left wings respectively. This will give Inter true wide wing play, something that Stankovic and Veron were never capable of. However, i'm not in favor of dropping Veron completely - his mastery of the deep long pass is certainly a quality we greatly need. After all, this is the game where we have truly nothing to play for but pride so the atmosphere surrounding the lineup to the match must be nothing but one that is attacking minded. Playing 2 ballwinners just doesn't help Inter's cause as the center of midfield is often far too deep into their own half to be of any true help in creating good plays from midfield. As such, players like Veron and Stankovic have to compensate for the lack of central midfield attacking qualities by coming into the center which will ultimately leave our flanks exposed.

The defensive quartet needs to shore itself up by bringing in someone tall to possibily replace Miha. As such, we only have 2 that fit that quality and they are Matrix and Burdisso. One's a liability at times and the other has almost turned stale off the pitch. What a dilemma. Materazzi is as often defensively inept as Miha if used, but Inter loses a good set-piece taker. Looking at the gains and losses, it does seem that Miha has as much reason to start as Matrix does. Maybe it's time to use Burdisso?

What's most important for this team is that they don't mentally collapse again. That is the most important quality for this team that has in all seriousness, a fragile mentality, especially against Milan. However, if they can adopt a "nothing to gain or lose" stance, we can be very dangerous. After all, we're mentally prepared to be knocked out, but Milan aren't.
