Helal is then one pessimistic guy. Team is well and unite(well not including Chino and Davids). It's true playing Kily is possibility, he beated Panucci quite well agains Roma, But then sucked against Udine. Emre has done his job when asked, I believe he's going to play, unless we play 2 DM. Which is likely and then there's no question about line-up. And true Veron needs to play in the middle with Cuchu.

But in the diamond is his place on the top or on the right..?

Hey Lightoller ;)

CZ was good against Roma, but what did that result in ?

Errrm...how about a clean sheet and a win? If it ain't broken, don't fix it.

Favalli did well in the first derby against Cafu and was mostly OK in the Rome derbies against him.

After watching both teams respective CL games, I feel kinda demoralized. Milan played their typical game, which was defend, defend, defend (and then some) and when they had a goal-scoring opportunity they took advantage of it. Even without their best player they beat a Man Utd team that rarely loses at home.

Inter on the hand, played like sissies against a sub-par Porto team. After Oba's goal we should have continued to apply the pressure, instead of defending like we were still under Cuper's Mad Regime. Porto's back four was an absolute mess and I guarantee we would have scored a few more goals if we attacked just a little more.

I hate feeling so pessimistic but I can't help it. Maybe Interista's are doomed to be enternal pessimists until we actually win something of note.

Veron Cambiasso Emre Stankovic

Oh God in Heaven plz make it happen!!!

INTER 2009/10 !
I believe this is a crucial game for us if we want to keep any chances in race for scudetto..Mancio should line up the strongest formation that we have now and it would be like this if you're asking me...

TOLDO

JZANETTI CORDOBA MIHAJLOVIC FAVALLI

VERON CAMBIASSO EMRE STANKOVIC

ADRIANO MARTINS

I know some of you wouldn't agree on Mihajlovic, and he wouldn't be my first option too,if schevchenko was available..but now i thik that crespo wouldn't harm us and Mihajlovic might be decisive becouse of the set pieces..
And please God...let Adriano score....

If we play flat midfield with deki, emre, seba and cuchu. Is it Veron on the middle and Emre on the left or Emre on the middle and Veron on the right??

What do you think?

To be honest, I was strangely not too pleased when I heard that Shevchenko is gonna be out of this game. That's because since I started supporting Inter die-hardly (01/02), Sheva has only scored 3 times in 9 matches.

But we have scored a miserable 7 times in 9 games while letting in 13 times.:rollani:

Thank you. Cause thats exactly how ifelt.

If you watch the Lyon game, you see after they went up 0-1 away. they kept attacknig and killed them.

Inter should of killed this Sad porto, anyway. Well said MilanHater. I hope people understand that even though i went overboard i was frustrated because i was sooooo upset from both CL game and the Udinese game which were similar.

Anyway, i dont give a shit what lineup we play. I want to kill these red and black devils.

WATCH OUT- The Black & Blue are Coming :fero: :fero: :fero:

I hate to say this but this is one game we need 2 DM,if we dont need it against a Milan team that will use 5 in midfield then we will never ever need it against any team...

Martins is ofcourse a MUST...I dont care who gets benched but his speed will be their headache all day..Adriano even though not scoring will be more effective,I think, than Vieri..

If we score i hope to see Recoba cuz i think his long shots and passes can be great in a counter attack game.

Just 2 days to go before the game of the season for us, I know that has been said before the Valencia game, before the Juve game but this time it matters the most. A win would put us back in the title race while a draw or a loss would finish it off for ever this season.

Im not going to put my line-up as of yet cause we still dont know the players called up but I really hope to see Emre in there. Our little Turk can make the difference with his skills and fighting.

In attack I want Martins and Recoba, Yes Recoba no Bobo no Adriano. I dont think Vieri will cause any threat for them and I seriously dont see Adriano suddenly returning to form against Nesta and Maldini. Last time we played them he was in form and still couldnt get past them, except for that skill from wich he almost scored.

So why Recoba cause I love this man, I know u guys call him incosistent but I disagree, Just read the article in the players thread. This man could together with Veron and possibly Emre create havoc for the milan defence and there would be a lot of balls coming in for Oba from wich to score. I know this will not happen but if it happened, firstly Milan would be surprised not seeing Adriano and secondly we could also profit form Chino's long range shots wich i believe are very important in today's world of football.

But being realistic I know this will not happen.

Quite a weird week, I must say. Usually I´m pumped up for the derby for a whole week, but this week has been different due to the equally important game against Porto. It´s only today, where I have started to grow the derbyfeeling. Writing previews for the derby on other sites, has certainly contributed to that.

As usual it will be all about which team that has the best attitude. Sadly, we never seem to have. Just keep Recoba and Vieri off the field and we might win this one. Recoba during his eight years at Inter or so has never scored against Milan.

Having Martins fit is the most important thing here. Also that Adriano´s attitude is based on Inter and not on himself.

How's Adriano doing?
"I thought he did very well in Porto . He was in the thick of the action and he moved fluidly. Only a goal was missing. Perhaps he's keeping it for Sunday night..."

You just spoke about a drop in form in the past month and a half...
"We're not machines, this is normal. I have always given my best and my form has dropped a bit. I have trained hard and I've felt much better in our last few matches. I'm getting my strength back; a goal will help boost my confidence."

Milan are one of the teams you have scored most against...
"I have scored two or three goals against Milan, but it will be a very tough match on Sunday evening. I remember Rino Gattuso saying before the last derby that the fans can't wait for it to start and the players can't wait for it to end because there's so much tension on the pitch. We're motivated in the right way and it will be a great game. I didn't feel so much tension in my first Milan derby. In my life I have played three derbies: in Belgrade, Rome and Milan. They are all different; they are matches you can't explain. The Milan one is a spectacle, with a full stadium and everyone that wants to win. I have never won a derby in Italy; let's hope I do on Sunday."
--------------------

That was from Stankovic Press conference,, you know guys no one can not to admire this guy passion and attitude, I respect those who admits when they are out of form and those who are always optimistic and ready to serve the cause,, Stankovic is one of the best buys Inter did in the recent years.

Yeah, it beat the hell out of those words he said last year.

"We don´t want to lose this match"

The attitude was not to lose. :D Hopefully, this years attitude is to win.

I'm glad Deki @ least has the decency to admit his drop of form in the past months! But then again it would stupid if he didnt!

Also, more and more papers/websites are indication that Mancini will most probably bench Adriano. Only time will tell...
