We better win this match! If we don't at least get a draw we won't qualify from the group. Last years comeback won't be repeated.

I'm starting to hate Mancini for fielding so defensive lineups in the CL. He does the same exact thing vs top teams in the Serie A. Only in Serie A it more often then not works because we know the teams so well.

PSV will play very defensive against Inter I'm afraid... If Inter plays defensive we have a chance. If they attack you will score at least ones against our weak defence.

Inter never plays defensive at home.

Problem is our away games, the ridiculous defensive approach is killing us, we arent a defensive team, we can play the traditionaly old italian style and go for the zero and the other team play their own game. We need to play our own game and attack equally in boith home&away games.

Incredible how mancini hasnt learned from past mistakes, even though its been clear ever since he got here that we can play that way.

That is true. Mancini wasn't like this in his first season with us.

5-1 Valencia and 3-1 Anderlecht are just examples from the first season when Mancini used to play attacking football in both home and away games.

It all changed now. I'm not sure if we can now beat Bremen easily 2-0 (Vieri missed a penalty too).

Ever since Mancini started to play defensive football outside Milano (for whatever reason), we suffered in almost every single away game in Europe.

The Champions League isn't Serie A.

Well I have great but sad memories of PSV going out against Bilan couple oh years back...they dominated both legs of the quarters or semis...but still went out...
Cocu scored a cool in the last minute but alas it wasn't enough

Lol, I've still not watched Ambrossini's goal back. I really need to cry if I see that again :D

BTW. Afellay is injured for the match against Inter...

I don't like Gomes. I think he is a medium goalkeeper with limited possibilities.

Sorry, but he's the best goalkeeper PSV ever had. Last season he was chosen by the PSV fans as player of the year. And with the official Player of the Year contest he ended fifth. AS GOALKEEPER!!

Player of the Year Award
1 Alves (SC Heerenveen) 206.5
2 Cocu (PSV) 202
3 Alex (PSV) 201
4 Gomes (PSV) 199
5 De Cler (AZ); Simons (PSV); Wielaert (FC Twente) 198

I can give you a compilation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=onsjJ1a_Wvk

But that doesn't say much. Well Arsenal also said he was poor. I think they will never forget him again.. Same story with AC Milan ;).

Another table:

. 2004-2005: PSV (Gomes/Zoetebier): 1159 minuten
2. 1970-1971: Ajax (Stuy): 1082 minuten
3. 2006-2006: PSV (Gomes): 957 minuten
4. 1994-1995: Ajax (Van der Sar): 846 minuten
5. 2005-2005: PSV (Gomes) 817 minuten
6. 1971-1972: Feyenoord (Treytel): 792 minuten
7. 1989-1990: Ajax (Menzo/Storm): 761 minuten

Longest serie without a goal against. It's also thanks to our great defence at that moment but if he wasn't important he wouldn't have been chosen as best PSV player ;). Maybe it also doesn't say much, but you will see I'm right against Inter.

Afellay, one of our best players in injured for 4/6 weeks. Not great news but we luckily still have Aisatti and Perez who can play at the same position as Afellay. I don't think the injury of Afellay will affect our chances for the match against Inter. It was 20%, and it will be still 20%.

Hey, as you can see I'm a PSV fan. I'm really looking forward to this match!.
Well, some info about PSV..

The coach is Ronald Koeman, he's not very populair in Eindhoven but he proved to be a good coach in the CL. His style of football last season was very defensive. But this season he wants to take risks and plays with 4 defenders, 1 defensive midfielder, 2 or 3 attacking midfielders and 2 or 3 attackers. But he already said he will play more defensive in the CL.

Our best players are:

Afellay: A young talent from the youth setup of PSV. His acceleration with the ball is unbelievable, his dribbling is fantastic, his shot is great, his passing is good... But he is still injury prone and he's dribbling too often.. But he's a very dangerous player. He also won the talent of the year award in the dutch league last season, above players as Ryan Babel.

Gomes: A great goalkeeper, in the CL he's always fantastic!

Simons: He's our defensive midfielder and our captain. Very important for the balance in the team.

Farfan: Our best attacker, but he failed to make impression in the CL last season. Strong, fantastic freekick and scores quite easy.

Salcido: Our Mexican leader in the defense, our only good defender..

Our attack is very strong this year. But Farfan is the only player who already played in the CL. Koevermans and Lazovic have never played in the CL before.

Our midfield is great, with players like Aisatti (often named as biggest dutch talent), Afellay (won talent of the year award), Simons (captain of the belgian team), Bakkal (very smart midfielder, he reminds me to V. Bommel in his early days. We also have Mendez (Ecuadorian international)

Our defense isn't very strong, although we haven't conceed a goal in the dutch league yet. Zonneveld our leftback will be suspended against CSKA and Inter. We've some talents as Rajkovic (Serbia U21 player, loaned from Chelsea) and Da Costa (one of the biggest Portugees defensive talents).
And we have Salcido who's a great player. But overal our defensive isn't very strong.

We already had the difficult matches against Vitesse and FC Twente.
Sunday PSV will play against Feyenoord.

You've just given Mancini the biggest scouting dossier on any opponent we've played since he's come in charge.
