The backline is fine. Frattesi and Cuadrado are understandable for different reasons. But Sanchez is too ball hogging and too slow for my liking. Considering Sociedad early pressing approach as they nearly killed us in the first half first round.

Dont forget if they score once we need to do double..losing stupid balls gonna be suicidal.

Which is a shame, because at first, I thought Arnautovic and Alexis will give another dimension to our attack because they are players with different characteristics and they're both experienced. Arnautovic was supposed to bring aggressiveness and physical game above everything else, whilst Alexis was supposed to be someone whom could unlock matches where things aren't clicking properly.

Sadly, both were disappointing so far. Injuries, absences, lack of playing time or whatever, both should have performed better because of their reputation.

Alexis is actually a hard worker, but he's always complicating things, meanwhile Arna is a lazy fuck.

Alexis is VERY PRONE to turn over, even with his special magical moments here and there. But we can win this, and this will be a game with goals for sure. We just have to make sure we score more than sociedad without further injuries to our player.

I think that we can trust Sanchez to play at least one half of okay football against Real Sociedad. He has been better this season than Arnautović, although the bar is very low.

I like the idea of having Dimarco, Lautaro, Barella and Bastoni on the bench to win the game in the second half. =)

Also Bastoni might not be totally healthy just yet. I'd rather save him for Lazio.

Really the only one I'm a bit iffy about starting is Cuadrado, but I'd rather have him start here and sit out Lazio.

I don't think they are going to expose themselves too much. We may see different Sociedad, more defensive oriented.

I'm all for it. If we want to stay competitive in all competitions, they have to start at certain point. Besides, league should be an absolute priority number one imo especially when we are already in the knockout stage of cl.

This year, inzaghi should be judged solely on how he does in the league. I don't want to say other stuff doesn't matter, but it's almost like that for me. And i m glad to see through interviews and actions, mainly the huge rotations he did in cl, he thinks the same way.

Yeah it's pretty clear by now what the objectives are. Scudetto and CL knockout stages. Once we achieved the latter one, it was immediately full-fucking-rotation bonanza with the B team against Benfica.

Can't fault the man for that if that's the agreed priority with the club. I'm not saying there's anyone who would NOT want to be first in the group, but that's clearly not top top priority. And/or maybe Inzaghi just thinks that some rotation is fine at this point anyway, it's December already and there are 4 games within less than 2 weeks again on the menu. We don't know all the knocks, bruises, fatigue and whatnot players have.

We do need to rotate and Cuadrado should get playing time to gain confidence and fitness. BUT imo, Alexis isn't the right choice for this match. He struggles a lot vs pressing teams and oftenly loses the ball in our half.

Arna would be less worse than Alexis for this match. I would play Sanchez vs Lazio if we have to rotate.
