Good point Tim, and not only that it would be great to see Il Capitano lift a trophy up in the Giuseppe Meazza.
Obviously this game will not be as much of a celebration as it was last time but I stil expect the players to give their all to win it.
While Roberto Mancini can afford to rest players this weekend for the game against Siena as we have nothing else to play for in the league this season, Luciano Spalletti will still probably start a first choice team as his side keeps battling with Fiorentina in that battle for the 4th and final Champions League spot.
In Rome on Wednesday Julio Cesar started in goal and did well, however I believe Toldo should play next week so another one of our more loyal players in recent years can also be there in the starting line up.
J.Zanetti and Walter Samuel are certs in defense and I'm pretty sure Favalli will take up the left back place now he is back. As Ivan Cordoba has been suspended I would play Burdisso instead of Materazzi in place of Ivan. Materazzi can be great coping with taller strikers such as Luca Toni but I think Burdisso is slightly better at playing the ball on the floor and he will be needed more than Matrix.
In midfield on Wednesday I saw an extremely poor Figo on show, although I would consider playing Solari I guess Figo will start and probably rightly so? The rest of the midfield should be made up of Cambiasso, Pizarrro and Stankovic on the left - I suspect.
Up front I would play Cruz (he deserves it) and Martins. Adriano might finally get the message to start working if he isn't played in a cup final and I believe that Martins can exploit the gap Mexes will leave in the defense (suspension) more than the currently flat flooted Adriano will.
