Can someone work up a good picture of our third goal against Roma, was Pazzini offside? I'd love to see it.

I heard a facebook status that quoted Tagliavento saying it was offside, which got my nerves up since i'm pretty sure it wasn't.

Seeing it live and on a replay it looked pretty offside to me.

From my view I was 90% sure it was offside.

Pazzini was clearly onside for the burdisso pen foul. In fact from rai's offside camera thing he looked to be onside for the goal that was called of just before the pen incident.

lol dude that pic tells us nothing really....(pk)

the ball hasnt left his foot yet, and that angle is just attrocious. It really is too close to call but i think with the rule of giving the attacker the benefitof the doubt, he should be called on.

as for the first goal it does look offside, but then again theres to much to take into account.

It is however an excellent pic when discussing how we set up our attack, and gives us a great idea of how leo has set up our side to go forward. Would love to see how high up maicon is on the other side.

He can surely look offsides at times, I can see where you're coming from. I personally would call him offsides if I was the referee.

It is clear from the pic that the ball is leaving his foot(it s actually already off his foot!!!!), at the time Pazzo starts his run! The pk is no offside & the disallowed is clearly off. On the pk call, his body is on the same line as the defender (reference the center line). Plus the defender's leg is 1 tad further than Pazzo!

His feet which is the body part that counts looks level to me on the disallowed goal. His arms and hands are ahead of the defender but you don't use them in football. So for me he looks on in both incidents.

was just looking at it in real time....from scarpini highlights. i dont blame the linesman for giving him offside cause it sure looked liked it. Really hard call to make though and im glad the game wasnt decided on it!

Thanks Vasilios, that's exactly what i was looking for...

The disallowed goal seemed hands down offside since first look, but the penalty really wasn't, in fact i think i remember a rule that states offside positions are only judged according to where the feet is, not the body.

Yeah same...definitely not off for the penalty. But for the disallowed goal = offside.

Yeah, because we scored two 3rd goals. :D

And why would a ref talk about a rightly disallowed goal being...well, rightly disallowed. Like the dude is supposed to brag or something.

Not just the feet...head, torso, feet all count. Any part of your body you can score with is taken into account...
