The Veron pass was called a 'Great Rabona'? That looked awesome! Great pass. And Karagounis's Zidane-turn was nice too. Who was the guy who kicked the ball away, though?

What a game it was .... :proud:

Except for few minutes, we fully dominated them ... And some moves of ours looked damn good to watch - one touch passes :proud:

# Veron's pass :D
# Karagounis' Zidane move :p
# Martins and Cruz's duo ;)
# Martins creating havoic in Siena'a penalty box all the time :)

My Ratings:

Toldo - 6.5
There was not much for him to do, except for few times and he did his job.
But I still think that a typical Inter could have conceded few goals, coz Siena did get some chances to score, only that it was off target.

J.Zanetti - 6.5
I didn't see J.Zanetti's many runs against Siena, but he did play his normal game, as he always does.

Cordoba - 6.0
We did look a bit shaky at the back, just that we didn't conede any goals, coz we were doing well in the midfield and upfront. I do think that a typical Inter would have conceded some goal/s.

Mihajlovic - 5.5
I am sorry, but am I really biased. I really think that the defence wasn't at its best yesterday and Miha was no exception.

Favalli - 7.0
What a game it was by Favalli. Not perfect, but he did his best. Was even involved in offensive moves !!

Karagounis - 7.5
I think it was a very good game for him. He did play in the right wing, but was often seen in the central midfield. Had made a very good cross and that Zidane move he made looked damn grt !! I wud be really happy to see Karagounis in Inter next season, coz these are the kind of players we need as back-up who would always perform when given chance and never complain.

Kily - 7.0
What a cross it was for Vieri's goal. I wouldn't say that he was perfect, but a good game by our left winger.

Veron - 8.0
Yesterday's central midfield duo really did well .... No wonder, I have been saying since ages that we don't need 2DMs' !!
But at times, Veron was a bit slow; still a very good game !! ;)

Cambiasso - 8.0
What a free agent !! Playing as the sole DM, he did his job very well and might not have done good to C.Zanetti as it again showed that 1DM is very much enough.

Cruz - 6.5 (played less)
He was doing very well with Martins; too bad that he limped off.

Martins - 7.5
He brought terror to Siena's box. Had only his finishing been good, he would had been the other player of the day to score hattrick. No wonder, Gilardino's rumours are coming forward now. Thankfully, he's young so lets hope that he learns that part of his game.

Vieri - 6.5
Finally Vieri scores with a header, which I had missed since sometime. Yet, I am still of the opinion that we should sell Vieri, UNLESS he reduces his wage (may be $2/2.5 million) ;)

Stankovic - played less

Adriano - played less

veron's skill is called the Rabona. Crespo did that vs Inter in the 1st round of the 0-0.

Vieri recieved the ball from Adriano then fired it into the curva then went to hug Adriano lofl.

Great match ..

Great Bobo ..

he riminds me his old great games :proud: ... hope you'll stay as good as you r now :fero:

Vieri : " I'm happy " !!!

MILAN - Christian Vieri spoke to journalists after Inter's 2-0 victory over Siena. "I'm fine and I'm pleased I scored a goal. I have to thank Kily for a perfect cross," said the striker. "We have joked about his crosses throughout the season, and today's one was perfect.

"It was a long time since I had played at least an hour, and I'm very tired now because of this. Today's victory was important. We created some very good moves and gave away very little. We felt the effects of the heat, which affected the second half a bit.

"I'm fine. I have had a few knee problems, but I have recovered now and I am at the complete service of the coach. I have no problems with him.

"Where will I play next season? I have another year on my contract with Inter." inter.it

I'd like to have the same strikers for the next season ... but in addition : a player like Di Vaio , Gilardino or Cassano .. cuz injuries are chasing us ..

happy for you Rambo Vieri :)

If only Veron keeps playing like this, I would have been eating all my hats & caps already. He was easily the man of the match for me. Not because of his flairs or skills, which I personally don't care about, but because of his vision and ability to pick up players who made good runs to get into position. Wonderful game by him. :star:

But a player is not who you saw in his last game. He is who you saw throughout his journey in your club. It is not a secret anymore that I don't like Veron and this game does not change my opinion of him.

Cambiasso played his umpteenth unbelievable game for Inter. There were times last night when I asked myself, has Cambiasso managed to put a bad performance this season? And the answer is no, at least from what I have seen so far. For me, if not for Adriano's injuries, he is the player of the season already. There simply is not enough words already to describe his short odyseey in the Nerazzurra jersey.

The only worrying thing last night was the strikers', especially Martins', inability to finish off moves. Martins could and perhaps should have had a hattrick but he displayed one of the worst finishing displays I have ever seen from a striker. I really hope that he can overcome this next season. I am quite optimistic considering the fact that he has overcome his problem of dribbling or ability to keep the ball this season.

The Vieri of 02/03 would also have a hattrick but he failed to finish off a great Karagounis cross and Adriano's layoff. They weren't, by all means, sitters but the merciless Vieri of 02/03 would have buried them with his eyes closed. He looked sharp last night and let's hope that he will improve as he accumulate games under his belt.

The defence also looked a bit shaky for me, especially in the second half. I have honestly forgotten any particular incident since it has been 24 hours since the game but there was this one occasion where Maccarone got a dangerous volley in from quite a tight angle that flew wide & high. If it was a player in the calibre of Shevchenko or Henry, the result could very well be different. But hey, maybe our defenders wouldn't be so 'slackish' if they face better players, with all due respect to Siena. ;)

All in all, it was a comfortable victory but we did not perform superbly. I'd rate our performance around 7 out of 10 and Siena should blame themselves the most for last night's defeat. They lacked the passion & commitment and you just cannot go to San Siro and face the Inter of this year with that kind of attitude.

Great to hear you praising La Brujita like that Han, he must have been truly awesome.

You're so right about Cambiasso, he's been truly exceptional, and surely not in an easy role. I bet they will sell thousands of Cambiasso jerseys next season, I'm in line for one!

Martins hasn't been brilliant but he hasn't been playing regularly. Remember Adriano when he came back, it took him a long while to find the goal. I'm not too worried about it.

Also, Oba is always successful in making the opponents uncomfortable and creating danger.

lets not hate vieri. this guy has been our idol for years now. I never criticse this guy even if he shows his worst perfromances, because he really likes Inter, I mean a player who goes to 9 clubs and then stays 5 years with one club shows that he finally found the true club that suits him. forza Bobo forever, I've always liked this guy. And who can deny he has the best header in Italy probably Europe.. Shearer comes close or is on level to him only..

dont tell me Drogba or Trezeguet beacuse you count the goals drogba has scored with his head this year and what about trezeguet, that a**hole just couldnt score from 3 meters awya from pagliuca, if it was our Vieri they would show that missed chance throughout the summer..

forza Vieri again!

Yeah Vieri also told in a interview after the match that the heat had an effect on the game in the second half.

And all the talkings about Cambiasso here, i truly think this guy has finaly showing some skills after an bad years for the Real Madrid team.
I Hope he only gain more skills and keep the good form, for the next season and a season's to come.

And about Bobo... Just let him play, the man is a good strike, a Nerrazzuri in his soul, i hope to see him retire as an Inter player.

:proud: Yes.

About Cambiasso, only reason he wasn't succes in Madrid cause he lacks mediasexuality and that's why he wasn't used. Look at him now Real..

If there's one thing about Martins that is telling, it is his ability to learn from his deficiencies. This season, we have seen a Martins that has been better able to control the ball coupled with the fact that his dribbling has improved a lot. Being only 20, he still has a lot to learn but i have full faith that he will learn from his mistakes, just as he did with his ball control. His contribution to Inter's overall style of play is already greatly beneficial; when the man can finish off with deadly accuracy, we will have a superstar on our hands.

Now, if only Veron would be able to play as confidently as he did every other game, i wouldn't have to take you out for dinner. ;)

Ciao,
Tim

For me, he is the best header ever, simple as that. I've been watching soccer for a long time, and I just can't remember anyone like him, Shearer is second.

Just look at his goal vs Mallorca, that shows how he can connect with a far and audacious cross and still manage to barry it home.

Yeah, I got it from Pulsar once, but I will see this one as well. For my money, one of the best goals ever.

I just can't figure out who crossed the ball. I always thought it was Couto, but now it seems like PUNKaro, although the latter is left-footed.
