Why would you do that? I live in Romania and NEVER watched the romanian 1st league. It`s either rubbish/random/fixed.

Dunno, i was randomly changing channels, and stick on this match for about 30 minutes, cause surprisingly they played pretty good football, lots of goal chances and stuff.

GdS - Probable lineup: Handanovic; D'Ambrosio, Miranda, Murillo, Nagatomo; Medel, Brozovic; Banega, Candreva, Perisic; Icardi.

Same system as Cagliari, eh? The English language BeIn Sport announcers were calling it a 4-1-4-1, with Medel holding and Banega / J. Mario the only CMFs authorized to carry the ball forward.

Seems like Brozo / Banega would play out in a similar way.

Ever Banega played the full 90 mins against Sparta Praha and after Roma scored their 2nd goal he really looked gassed and since he had run his arse off at the Olimpico whatwith Wow Mario taken off, we failed to put up any meaningful attacks in Rome as we kept passing to Banega to create something at 2-1 down and he simply did not have the legs to do so.

So why the hell are 3 pts against the Saints of any importance over 3 points versus Atalanta?

I would much rather we exit this tournament right here and concentrate on the league. We do not have the squad to compete on so many fronts with those omissions due to FFP.Please maintain frame De Boer and rest players like Banega,Perisic,Icardi and Miranda. He better not give in to the pressure here.No way can we afford to drop any more points in the league.

Small clubs like Saints will be charged up for such fixtures and will play out of their skins to wina and this puts many of our key players at risk of injury.I'd rather we let them have these wins. The EL at this point should make no difference to us.

Let them have wins? This club doesn't exist to whore out games. The players and coaching staff is being paid to play and try to win every game and that is the least one could expect - effort.

Yes , well , let the reserves make that effort.

Look if we had a full squad with players like Jovetic,Wow Mario,Gabigol,Kondogbia in the running for selection for this game , i could see the point of partaking in the EL till the knock-outs.

But right now we must absolutely have our big boys in prime condition for the game in Bergamo. We cannot afford more dropped points in the league.

Wanting success in the EL means running guys like Banega,Miranda,Murillo,Medel,Icardi,Perisic,Candreva to the ground.Considering most of these guys were playing intl footie for their NT's last week [2 games mimimum in a week] and now must play 3 big games in a week for us at full tempo and produce stunning performances, one really must decide what one's priorities are.

We have already placed ourselves in a corner by losing our 1st 2 games and it is possible we will take this seriously and still go out of this tournament unless we commit to playing a strong team in all our remaining 4 games and winning them all.So no point in taking this risk at all.Good riddance to the EL.The sooner it happens the better.

To my knowledge Joao Mario, Kondogbia, Jovetic and Gabigol will be put on the Europa League list AFTER the group stage. So yes there is a point in trying here, we will have more depth IF we get through the group. I don't see us finishing 3rd even if we aren't in Europa, but I say we have a chance at winning the Europa.
One it's a trophy can we just try to win something ffs? Two it gets you a champions league spot. There aren't as many good teams in it this year anyway (till champions league teams come into it), we could go all the way.

But no you're right let's get embarrassed here, lose every game and get knocked out, on the off chance we somehow play well and consistently for the next 30 games in the league.

If all the other Italian clubs had the same attitude of fuck the EL as some posters here do, then there soon wouldn't be a third CL spot to fight for. I want to see us do well in this competition & would love to see us win it. I really don't understand the opposite attitudes being expressed here.

I would prefer Ansaldi over Santon, Icardi benched and Eder as our first option in attack, playing Perisic on the left as well

It would be interesting to see what can Perisic and Candreva achieve in our team with a forward that actually moves around and can make plays as well

I like how it says No one under 'Disqualified'.

It's as if Ranocchia doesn't even exist, or no one cares.

Not sure why we would play Nagatomo at right back over D'Ambrosio. Let's hope that's not the case, but honestly I don't think GDS has got it wrong all year.

I don't know what to expect from the match. I mean, if we lost to an unknown Israeli team... Let's just hope that they have learnt their lesson, you have to always give your 100% or you'll get slapped even by anonymous sides. I would like to enjoy a good Europa league match for once

If we win all the matches in the next two weeks, praise be the spirit of Harambe, JJM & wera should stay banned forever so we can finally call the witch hunt off.
