Conte has become Pazza. It's a blessing, a curse, a virus and a remedy.

"Amalo... pazzo Conte amalo-o-o-o
E` una gioia infinita...che dura una vita...
Pazzo Conte amalo..."

Doesn't quite have the same ring to it :D . I get your point though.

We can discuss all we want re rotation, but the fact is that Sensi & Barella are injured and even Gagliardini may not be ready to start yet. Which means we have no options in the midfield - its Brozo, Valero and Vecino. This is what we got, and to make sure we win against SPAL we need to start our best available players in all other positions.

We have done very well to cope with our injury crisis so far, but also have been helped with the schedule of "easier" games in Serie A. My bigger worry is the next 6 games after SPAL, its Roma (h), Barcelona (h), Fiorentina (a), Genoa (h), Napoli (a), Atalanta (h). This is where our season could quickly turn pear shaped, specially with all these injuries. Hopefully by the time of the Napoli game, we will have Barella, Sensi and Sanchez fully fit, and maybe if Marotta has any sense, we will have 2 new quality players signed up as soon as the window opens.

Even then, negotiating Roma-Barca-Fiorentina in 9 days without Barella, Sensi and Sanchez is cause for serious concern. Realistically I expect some points to be dropped, but I worry that the team's mentality/spirit will take a hit if we go out of CL & Scudetto contention in the same week.

Yeah, a tough month and a half for us and a very critical period if we compare the last years. It's not for this topic but let's hope Fiorentina will change the coach either now or after our game and not right before our game. Genoa is really shit, although they took 2 points from Juve in Turin. Napoli (the worst chemistry in that club in the last decade) and La Dea games are after the break and let's hope we will play with stronger team than currently. Good thing is also against Roma and Barcelona we will play at home, although at this second game whatever happens I'll be satisfied. We missed our chances versus Slavia in Milan and in Dortmund.

And for this topic it's important to repeat, Spal have not scored this Serie A season in away game! I won't have problem if they do this today, just Inter to win anyhow.

I think we are capable of defensivly stopping Roma and scoring a troll goal from a corner/free kick. That's how Inter of last 5 years played in most derbies.

I really don't see Inter winning against Barca tho. I think we might even see Asamoah in midfield.

We are lucky that Lazzari is no longer at SPAL as it feels our ledt side could be raped. If we contain the game's width we shouldn't be concerned today.

No, Conte is against that. This will continue till he is at the helm, which probably wont' be more than two seasons:troll:

Well.. he is uomo di merda after all :troll:

Anyway.

Happy to see Lazaro get a start, even if he's on the left. As mentioned, I can imagine him cutting inside from the left and linking up well with Lautaro. We'll see how it unfolds in reality.

D'Ambrosio is fine (I guess...) but it's much more exciting seeing Bastoni who has been really promising so far.

No one complains more than Conte about our lack of depth, yet it seems so unnecessary and risky to play D'Ambrosio, Candreva and Lazaro all at once. It's not even like we have injuries in those areas (CB, RWB, LWB). Bastoni and Biraghi are fit and ready to fill in their natural positions, so why do we need to field all 3 of our RWB's at the same time?

Either way, juve dropped points by drawing at home to Sassuolo.. you know what that means..

Interesting little tidbit:

The last SPAL player to score in a Serie A match away to Inter was Fabio Capello in October 1966. The Spallini coach that day was Francesco Petagna, grandfather of current striker Andrea

Fucking Petagna is going to score today, isn't he?

I guess Conte really wants to attack through the wings in this. Candreva and Lazaro have been good for the last few weeks, and D'Ambrosio as RCB is further is more of an attacking threat. We would need that since our midfield is really short here.
